If you cannot boot from you winXP cd, there is another solution. Boot up from floppy with win98 startup disk with CD support. If you dont have one, you can get one from www.bootdisk.com. If you don't have another computer in you house ask help from you friends. Then insert you winXP CD, go to /i386 folder and run winnt.exe. It starts XP installation.

This "windows protection error" can be caused by invalid master boot record in HDD. It can be fixed by running "FDISK /MBR". And I suggest to reinstall XP with CD boot, not by upgrading w95. Go to BIOS setup and make sure your first boot device is CD-ROM. Can't give you specific directions about that cos it is BIOS dependant. Then boot computer up from XP CD , reformat your disk and install winXP.edited: just clearing - fdisk is for win95. XP doesn't even have such utility. Booting from winXP CD and installing XP must fix everything anyway on HDD.

Hub-s and routers usually don't cause runtime errors in programs. This must be related to your computer software or settings. Is there some additional text in error message besides error91? And most important - what OS do you have? Also what kind of connection -dial-up, dsl, cable, etc ? Do you have a new connection or was it working ok before you connected the router? And what is the exact type of your router?Warning: Answering to all this questions does not quarantee solution to you problem! :mrgreen:

Now I bothered to figure out, what's going on. CDA file is NOT a sound file. It is merely a pointer to CD track. StickDeath - you posted this because this was only thing you could see when you put your CD in coputer, right? The actual music is recorded in WAV format but is not visible when exploring music CD. Can be ripped off, tho. And it is several MB in size.

My Winamp shows it 6.46 long indeed and also looks like it is playing but I cannot hear a sound! Does it need some codec or what?

Yes, this thing does exist, but is somewhat different actually You receive an e-mail where Albanian hackers explain that they want to write a virus but because of lack of expertise they can't. So they are politely asking you to send this e-mail to as many people as you can and then reformat you hard disk. :mrgreen:

Just a couple of days ago in a Coldwar I was on red. Blues were already loosing and I managed to get to the tunnel leading to bunker near blue spawn. Then I heard stabbing voices. Two blues were crouched against each other and were very busy stabbing each other! Too bad I didn't think to take a screenshot. They were so busy that I could just walk over to them. First I thought to pull my knife too but then decided bizon is good enough. The first one obviously never knew what hit him, the second one tried to rush on me with knife before I put him out of his misery too :mrgreen: I even don't try to explain their behavior :mrgreen:

Shotty - how do you get stats, by what weapon and how many times you are killed?

Why that famas botheres you so much? I am geting pwned usualy not bu noobs with famas but by amok runners with uzi, mp5 and sterling. Now these guns mus be banned for sure. :mrgreen: And I myself have much better score with ak47. I have strong suspicion that famas high fire rate is not compatible with my lousy ping and therefore most bullets will be wasted.

I wonder, if there will be replies "No!!!! Don't do it! CD sucks!" or something... :mrgreen: Can't say tho that TA server suffers from cheaters too much, but even couple of them can be very annoying.BTW talking about detecting cheaters: does difference in speed between heavy and light armor is so big, that when in durandal I start running with my teammate from blue tunnel he is way over the bridge when I am even not in the middle? Sprinting can't do that, I tried.

What to do with cheaters? They must be shot, drowned, drived over with truck and hanged from the tree. And that's not even nearly enough to them, don't you agree? :mrgreen: Well, if the same guy kills me 5 times in a row in a same situation- frantic cqc duel after both of us have fired tens of bullets or I am killed several times by the same sniper whos location I am unable to determine - they are definetely better than me. But when someone is able to get 10 headshots one after another with famas over whole map - excuse me! And yesterday on TA test server someone with name Freshmeat has score 47/9. If someone is so good, why he is not proudly wearing his own nick and clan tag? This looks slightly suspicious to me. Maybe CD is not catching all cheats, but I think it still can hold the 90% of cheaters away.

What update you are talking about? 4.7.0 is out for 2 weeks now and this is the only one I could find on UA site. Or is TA server updated with some beta version which is even not publicly announced yet? I don't belive this.And never had any problem with CD, not with WON nor steam.

Hey, it sounds like TV commercial: " I swear I was shocked at the amount of memory I was saving. Try it yourselves.." But it is completely true, 1,5-4M instead of 22-23M active memory. Great! Amount of used virtual memory remains the same but who cares!
