As the title says, started a new character (Shotty- FYI) and played about 2 hours on a knife prefered server, where i made my first few ranks, at least 10 knife pins, bronze recon, assault, and knife badges, an emergency rescue pin, and several combat efficiency pins (havent lost my touch lol) either way, my stats havent updated, no pins or badges, i have gotten my XP (as i got to corp-silver) but my overall stats shows no time played, no prefered weapon no dogtags, (had 17 seperate ones the first map then another 10 or so the second round), etc, except my global score and kill score are the only 2 that show. Any ideas about these at the moment? is the master server being screwy?

i prefered chiook + infantry with flashbangs into the enemy base, in generals..

It is true that there is enough oil to fuel the world.. you want to look to the people panic buying and the media frenzy when people ney-say about how much oil there is, that its gonna go up etc,

I second that there grimmeh... you know whats gonna happen though lol 1.5 release will be the most stable serverside client ever.. and will CTD every 5 seconds client side lol.. Either way, it cant be much worse than what we have now.

Someone made a really good comment on one of the consumer shows in the UK here.. basically if you actually look at it, The price of refining petroleum products is astronomical, when you consider that the overheads are high, the ACTUAL PROFIT per litre is only a few cents (2-3 on most things) for the oil company.. Where i used to work (tesco) we made about 1pence (2cents) profit per litre (3 cents per gallon ish). so in total the markup is only about 6cents. When you consider the sheer amount of fuel sold in the US each day, probably thousands and billions of gallons, then multiply this by 0.03 and you get those "record" profits.. the oil companies dont really charge extortionate amounts for oil, they do control the global market in a sense, but otherwise, the price per gallon isnt massively overpriced as some would like you to beleive.. With regards to things like solar and wind power, alot of research is going on Shell currently puts billions per year into research and developement, the oil companies themselves know full well that they will have to seek an alternative source sometime, because well, they just wont have any more oil to sell at some point. However with solar power being only about 5% efficient, and a wind turbine costing more (in cash, and carbon "footprint" to manufacture than its serviceable life will save) you have to ask which is more economical at this time.

I Hate people who make claims like this, and i hate people who post them screaming "OH NO THE WORLD IS ENDING".. this is akin to the Y2K doomsday people.. it never happened, so i will have to see it to beleive it. We already deal with $9 per gallon petrol prices over here at the moment,.the answer is NOT to complain about gas prices.. just stop driving the 5gallons per mile trucks, and buy sensible cars to do that 10 mile round trip to town in.

PS3.. i would wait till they release the 80gig one with the dual shock3 controller, if you cant get the PS3 anyhow, you get a nice Blu-ray disc player too, well worth the money

Any water based engine degreasant is good.. get yourself a soft bottle brush too, for getting in and around.. If you can take the wheel off and do the backside of it too, Goto a motorbike or mountain bike shop and get some "muc off". Ok... Looking to set the (current 56player instance) COD4 server to run some custom player made maps. There is a HUGE mapping and mod scene for COD4 as it stands (Awe mod anyone?) and personally, as well as with a few others, i feel that it would bne nice to try. So.. Primarily this thread is about 1 thing.. CUSTOM COD4 MAPS. If you have any recomendations (played on them on other servers, seen something that looks good etc) Please post information here. What I require, At very least the mapname. (in full... for example mp_convoy) More usefull would be a mapname and some info on the map itself. the map MUST support at very least Team Death match, and Domination game modes. A link to the map itself if applicable Whether the map was popular (did the server fill up or empty out when the map came on) http://www.infinityward.com/community/forum/index.php?board=40.0 is a good starting point if you have seen a map you like. Also, if you know of any good mods worth a try (in the future possibly) post some info here please please PLEASE try not to get into a discussion about what maps are good, bad etc here. simply post the links or info on maps you feel are good, so we can have a look at them and decide.

Thing is though.. its not time wasted (as it would be if it was purely a business venture say) because the time spent playing the character was for enjoyment rather than with the prospect to actually make money off of it. so its not really time wasted, and it is a nice bonus considering the time spent having fun if you can sell your account for more than you paid to play over the time period. i did my payments monthly but paid for 3 months or 6 months at a time (small discount offered) and had the account for about 18months total.. i think i spent about ?150 ($300) and made about ?750 markup on that price ($1500 approx at the time) for something i have enjoyed doing.. yes there is the time, and yes if i spent that time working i would have earned alot more, but not had the fun playing.. which is really what its all about!

mine? 180 days played total, on the warrior, 65 on the mage, 40 on the hunter, various small amounts on the other players.. that is actually logged in per minute time spent playin, not account age..

not really, i sold mine for $1800 back before. level, class, equipment on the characters all contribute KT. when i sold mine the account had the best geared warrior on the server at the time..

Definately bad apple... Could we have another option to it? "just plain abusive" for me?
