I've played it, wasn't to impressed. If it's the best game ever than everyone should be liking it. So clearly it isn't.

I found the IGN HL2 video (it's the same video) to be a lot brighter.

I doubt it's illegal. However, it would be heavily frowned upon by the mappers who put the time into making the maps jsut for someone to steal it and use it in another game.Instead of stealing someone else's work you should inspiration from their work and build FA maps in the DoD style which would work great.
