Frontier FiOS router issues - advice
No Idea how Frontier does their phone PPV etc so it's kind of hard to answer on that end. On my Spectrum cable you do infact have to use their equipment if you have digital phone with them . Im guessing its possible that the phone doesn't hit the router in your case but I dont see how. Without that connection you would have to use copper telephone lines to get out and I know at least here Ma Bell doesn't like to share her copper. My bride requires me to maintain a landline as well but mine goes through the router , again it needs to to hit their network. As for your issues Im assuming that router is one that came from them. It also sounds like you bought it outright which is kinda weird in and of itself as most companies make you lease the equipment(they make more that way... bastards). If it is leased have them come out and test the signal strength. Could have some ratty fiber between you and the endpoint. Also could be a failing optical receiver in the router. Id have everything checked out from the router back. Only other thing I have seen make this happen is I has an old router that was after my cable modem back in the day and it was old enough that it just started failing. If you have a personal router between you and the supplied interface try taking it out of the equation and see if the issue continues. If not then replace your router with a newer one of course. Hard to diagnose network stuff hundreds of miles away but that's the best I got for ya not being there.

Project x Game
Yeah latency is gonna be the make or break for me. I mean PUBGs is getting better and better as far as latency goes but there is still an item spawn delay and sometimes I get a stutter. My main issue at the moment is the close in hit reg. In CQC its basicly RNG who kills who regardless of the weapon, RoF, Damage until later in the game. Leads to a lot of early camping till about mid game when the action picks up unless you drive up on someone or run into a building they are in.

To boldly pull the biggest dick move in the universe
Im a huge fan as well and am old enough to remember watching the original series as a kid, a very young kid you old coot, and haven't missed a series yet. I'll find a pirate site to watch this one but I will not support these guys in this. I almost pulled the trigger on the cheapo all access then it hit me. The commercials you will be seeing , albeit limited, are already paid for by the companies and these trolling bastards want you to pay again to watch em. I'm sure some MBA bastard came up with this but I'm not paying what I would pay for Netflix and almost what Amazon Prime cost a month for one show. Hopefully I can see it online someplace if not it will be the first one Ive missed. Show was pretty good, first episode, but honestly there was more commercial time than show and it was basically a super extended trailer. I'm sure ep 2 was much better.

To boldly pull the biggest dick move in the universe
Ok so from the title I'm sure you can tell I'm less than pleased with the new Star Trek. Well let me say what I saw of it was ok but it was quite possibly the biggest dick move in the history of TV. First the show was an hour long. well the episode was about 20-25 min long the rest of the time was an endless stream of commercials. The episode itself was basically an extended trailer. We saw most of it in the released trailer that was posted here. Now for the huge dick move. If you want to see any more of it you have to sub to CBS all access. There are Two options 5.99 /mo with commercials ( yes they want you to PAY to watch commercials the companies have already paid for) and 10.99 /mo for commercial free. Sad to say I will not be watching what promises to be a decent Trek series and will probably kill the series right out of the shoot. I mean my Amazon Prime is 14 bucks a month and these asses want 10.99 a month for commercial free access. Yeah not happening. Anywho got that outta my system. I'll just watch pirate streams of it cause you know there are gonna be those and if not I'll just pass on the ultimate money grab.

- How Armor Works in PUBG
Ok so this became a hot topic of discussion last night and I think there are some misconceptions about how armor actually works in the game and wanted to share some info I got via a chat with one of the devs on it not to long ago. Ok so people tend to see the number on the helmet / body armor and confuse that number (durability) with how much damage it will prevent (dmg reduction) Here are the basic stats: Both helmets and body armor reduce the damage taken when shot as follows None:100% damage taken lvl 1: 70% damage taken lvl 2: 60% damage taken lvl 3: 45% taken Where it becomes a confusing point is that even if a piece of armor has 1 HP left it will mitigate the damage as above. This is why you see armor disappear and helmets get split off players heads. This is durability at play: Helmet Durability: Lvl 1: 80 Lvl 2: 150 Lvl 3: 230 Body armor: Lvl1: 200 Lvl 2: 220 Lvl 3: 250 If you notice the larger jumps between durability in the helmets vs the body armor it becomes easy to see why it gets confusing. What comes into play is "next fight readiness" . If you will have the opportunity to loot less damaged armor to mitigate degradation of durability (get less damaged gear) however swapping a lvl 1-2 helmet for a damaged LvL 3 is always a good thing no matter when you come across it because of two things 1) the rarity of headshots compared to body shots and 2) the huge jump in durability between lvl 2 and 3. The same mechanics apply to armor however the durability jump between lvl 2 and lvl 3 is nowhere close to where it is for head armor so early to mid game swapping a highly damaged lvl 3 for a new lvl 2 may be advisable simply because of the next fight readiness but that does not negate the fact that lvl 3 only allows 45% base damage to get to you while lvl 2 allows 60% to affect you so end game picking up that damaged piece of lvl 3 gear that blocks a full 15% more damage may be the difference between a chicken dinner and 2nd place. It's all about timing and the ability / need to replace unserviceable equipment. TLDR: ALL armor in PUBG blocks the same percentage of damage. Durability, round stage, and the ability to replace that armor is what should guide you in replacing it .- Look at what I bought
We're talking about Axle here. Of course it's a woman's bike. Probably an old womans bike. Seriously though, nice scoot Ken.- Be safe to everyone in FL and GA
Still too early to tell but Maria looks to be on a similar track.- Armory Website Software change
Gotta be logged in to see that btw- PUBGs Game Guides: by WackyJacky
This guy has a bunch of very short videos covering everything from basics up to mouse setup , advanced play guides, on pretty much every aspect of the game. Simple to follow and while some are things most gamers already know there are things he covers like how to avoid detection that are pretty damned informative. Most of the videos are only a couple of min long but if you feel you could use some help, I've heard several folks utter the words I suck at this or that game these tips apply to pretty much all shooters. Give em a gander. Yes I found them looking up advanced tactics even though I finish pretty much top 10 in most solo games I realize that those 5s and 6s are not Chicken Dinners and I need to hone my playstyle. The one immutable truth I've learned is you can always improve. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCfK7qpS954pk14YvDCsWCuw/videos- Ghost Recon: Wildlands PvP Open Beta 21-25 Sep 2017
Yep preloading then. Look forward to shooting with or at you!- Sept. Update Scheduled for next week.
Patch notes are up: http://steamcommunity.com/games/578080/announcements/detail/1453956698903078380 Things to note before the patch notes. Vaulting – Update on progress: Not going in yet in heavy testing and tweaking. My take. Good! Have it work the first time. Idle players earning BPs: Removing the ability to earn points if you are AFK. Great! I would say after repeated offenses it should be a progressive ban. Adding Foggy Weather effect: From the posted pic it looks like a rainy day just with no rain maybe a shade thicker but in no way the pea soup of BF1. We shall see but could make for interesting game play. Option to change crosshair color! WOOOO! Day glow orange reticles again. Mini 14 DMR with scaled damage due to round size but with lower bullet drop and higher velocity. May become the go to sniper DMR. Tommy gun has been removed from care packages and is now a world spawn. Go ahead and read all the notes. Good stuff in there.- Be safe to everyone in FL and GA
Got an ass ton of rain and around 50 MPH winds here but came through without losing power, Cable, or phones. Played videogames through the worst of it. Charleston and the southern part of SC got flooded pretty good with the surge.- Aim assist
The snap to on PC is not nearly as strong as it is on consoles. If you think it's bad on PC you should see it on say XBone. litteral flick headshots with carbines. Guys going 80-2 or some other crazy shit like that.- Open beta launching later this month
May need to patch that puppy up.- Sept. Update Scheduled for next week.
Pic of the new fog effect added to the weather system in this upcoming patch. Now THIS is how you do fog.- Sept. Update Scheduled for next week.
The Sept. update is tentatively scheduled for next week, probably around Wed or Thurs. FPP leaderboards and stats, the new Mini 14 rifle, various fixes etc etc. Not sure if vaulting will be in this update or not. Patch notes should come out Monday or Tuesday. Will update then.- SCUM! New survival game with really interesting features
Vault Dude got some developer input and a features walkthrough from them. A lot of neat features. I think my two favorites are how they deal with foliage rendering at distance vs stealth and how what you eat and how often affects your character model. Yes you can end up a fat bastard in game lol. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QvwZbjTS0oA- New weapon added.
New weapon being added.... Ruger Mini 14! Best news.. It's a world spawn not a crate weapon. 5.56 chambered variant. Lacks under barrel attachment most likely because of the 5.56 reduced recoil coefficients. Cant wait to get a try on this thing because if they use actual real world performance models like they have on most guns this thing will be a laser. Looks to be an SKS alternative so it's looking like a type of Sniper/DMR weapon.- 5V5 Competitive mode.
Well you would have to have servers that are viable and contain all the needed tools which we won't see in BF1 so yeah. The lack of ability to host this on a rented server for scrims and practice sessions will doom it as far as esports so why bother. BF1 is a fun game in and of itself but the amount of low hanging fruit DICE left on the tree and the huge missteps they have taken have really soured BF1 for a LOT of people. I laugh when they crow about 22 million copies sold and have issues holding a combined 200k concurrent players across all platforms when half the DLC hasn't been released yet. Add that the fact that the developers spend time on this kind of thing when game breaking issues still are present from launch or shortly thereafter and even though they are repeatedly brought up in the CTE environment they are simply ignored many have lost all hope of BF1 actually attaining a level anywhere close to where it "should " be at this point and time. /Cynical old bastard off- Open beta launching later this month
