This is Battlefield V
Of all the videos DICE has produced for Battlefield V, this is the single best video to watch. It explores all the facets of the game, and gives us an insight as to what we can expect during the release and beyond. It gives you a visual glimpse of how the game will look, feel and play. So, if you get a chance, I highly recommend you take a few minutes and watch the video. We hope to recruit new members for the game, but more on that subject later. We are at a crossroads at the moment, but remember, we have always been primarily a Battlefield clan, and The Armory will remain one. Out with the old and in with the new, as they say.

Dev Talks 2 (Beta feedback and coming changes)
You might want to consider not getting the game. At least we won't have to endure anymore negative information about the game you find on the web. There are many who are looking forward to the game, so please save us all your negativity until the next game you might hate. All your negative posts about the game is getting old. Nobody cares if you get the game or not, so please just let it go.

Dev Talks 2 (Beta feedback and coming changes)
Source: EA/DICE - "The DICE developers bring you behind the scenes of Battlefield V. In this episode, we'll cover what we learned from the Open Beta. Find out about our tweaks to the attrition system, vehicles, spotting, the death experience, and more. " This is a great video that gives you an insight into the development of the game. They plan to have more videos discussing the game, so I will post them as they appear. [GALLERY=media, 14000][/GALLERY]

DICE is making larger maps for Battlefield V
It appears there's been some discussion on Twitter concerning Battlefield V map size. Apparently some comments were being made about the maps not being very large, so DICE has put out a few tweets discussing how they are designing large maps for the game. They wanted to let everyone know that they are presently working on a map called “Hamada,” which will be over 1500 meters from the attackers headquarter to the defenders final fifth sector (see attached image). I hope they expand it and make all the maps larger. Here are a few Tweets they made yesterday:

TeamSpeak vs. Discord
I'm evaluating donations at the moment, as I am thinking of going it alone for TeamSpeak and the Webserver, however I may open donations back again in the future for a game server perhaps. Thanks for inquiring ...It is really appreciated. You always gave before and it really helped us keep the lights on. By the way, nice to see you again, Copyc4t Battlefield is just around the corner...

TeamSpeak vs. Discord
Prior to renting the TeamSpeak VPS test server, I tested Discord extensively for a week to see if it offered the same or better functionality as TeamSpeak. My findings were as follows: Discord Pros Includes a web widget (although the widget does not auto expand and has a set height, which requires scrolling if too many users are online) Has the ability to act as an online chat app, so you can contact friends and fellow gamers anytime (if running) Has a built in game overlay, so you can see who’s in channel and who is talking. (For those of us who have a 4k, however, The text and icon are really small) Shows what game friends are playing in the status section It's FREE Discord Cons Sound quality is acceptable, but does not sound near as good as TeamSpeak (very noticeable to me) Confusing chat channels which do not coincide (or attached) with the voice channels (they are separate entities) TeamSpeak 3 Pros Outstanding voice quality Has chat channels that coincide with each voice channel Coming out with the new TeamSpeak 5, which may prove to have more functionality than Discord Extensive permission system TeamSpeak 3 Cons No built in web widget for online status, which requires website to find their own No built in game ovelay, although Overwolf work just fine (when installed) No chat channel to communicate with friends and fellow gamers when not in TeamSpeak Confusing permission system Not FREE (well, 32-user is free, but requires a server or extra PC to run) For now, anyway, I will stay with TeamSpeak, as I am spoiled with the sound quality and the channel chat features. Please comment below and offer what you think about each.

TeamSpeak 3 Test Server
Some you may have noticed that there is a new TeamSpeak test server listed on the Voice Servers page. With TeamSpeak 5 coming out soon (Q4), I wanted to have a way of hosting a TeamSpeak 5 server during the Beta testing (if possible). I also wanted to see if it was feasible and/or practical to host our own TeamSpeak server in the future vs. renting one from a TeamSpeak hosting provider, so I decided to rent a cheap Windows VPS and put TS3 through the test. For those who don’t know, you can download TeamSpeak 3 server files for your personal use for up to 32 users at no cost. The personal TeamSpeak 3 server (32-users) is now running on the VPS I rented. I also created a Windows service to keep it running should the TS3 server ever fail, or the OS system ever needs to be restarted. Please feel free to stop by and check out the VPS TS3 test server by clicking on the server name "The-Armory.net (connect)" here . One thing I did notice is that you join quickly when joining. Go ahead and create a few channels and see how you like it. Also, the server is on a Gigabyte connection, so he file transfers are fast.

Website had to be restored from Sunday's backup
I accidentally deleted the Articles system from the website, so I had to restore yesterday's database backup to fix it. If you made a post on Sunday or Monday, and it is missing, simply post your messages again and all will be okay. I must try not to work on the website when I am tired.

Best Performance Settings Guide Battlefield 5 BETA
I use most of his suggested settings, but not all. I use "Medium" settings across the board. I also turn off GPU memory restriction, and lastly, I set the frame rate to "monitor refresh rate." Also, download and set up Razor Cortex to automatically turn off non-essential windows processes and memory
