I truncated the news articles on the front page
I also added a new Discord widget, which if you hover over the widget and scroll, you can see who is online in Discord world as well. I am working now with the developer of the add-on to get the colors changed to match the theme. It is giving me a fit, so hopefully I will have it fixed soon.

I truncated the news articles on the front page
I truncated the news articles on the front page to make mobile phone viewing more efficient, and to increase page load times. You can still view older articles, but you will have to click the "Load more..." button to enable viewing past 4 articles. I have also move a few items below the articles to balance the front page.

New Teams - Better Communication
I absolutely agree, and I have always practiced this in my game play for the past 16 years ...even to the extent of getting myself shot at so as to warn my teammates before engaging the target. Unfortunately, I have seen this attribute practiced by very few other than myself. Again, and I'm sorry for saying this, but most I have played with seldom practice this. I know some will occasionally call out a target, but most of time they engage the target "without" providing a verbal "call-out" to their fellow teammates. I believe they do this with the intent of getting the kill first before their teammates do. This seems to be prominent in those who value K/D more than anything else. And yes, sometimes these players kill the target, and other times they just simply die. When they take this "go it alone' action, nobody has a clue where the bad guy is until it is too late. Instead of calling out targets after they die, all I hear is whining about how they died, or whether or not the person who shot them was hacking. Players should be more interested in calling out target locations by saying "he's in the tower" instead. For fucks sake, folks, please tell us where the enemy is located. Those of you who do call out targets are usually too generic in your location descriptions. For example, and most recently, my teammate calls out "he's high, he's high" (I had to ask him 5 times just for that little info) instead of saying "he's up high the rocky formation to the right". There are high locations all over the fucking map, so how the hell is somebody to understand what "high" means, for example. I cannot agree with you more, but unfortunately there are those who think they can kill the entire opposing team by themselves. I see some players dart out and head towards the enemy at full sprint until they engage the bad guys. They kill 1 or 2, die, and then they say to their teammates, "where's my backup?" ...Really? Well, your backup was stationary while running the drone identifying targets for you, and he/she is about 200 meters behind you. Pro Tip! Slow down and wait for your teammates. What makes me shake my head more is that at the end of the round I hear a player boast about how many kills they had, and not even say "hey, thanks for marking those targets for me," or thanks for the revives which allowed me to kill more targets. Remember, there is no "i" in teamwork. REVIVING: I have a big issue with this topic. Thanks to Kurinar, Jenksterman, Danbaron, and many others who make an effort revive me each and every time during a round. Unfortunately there are a few who don't, which make the game less enjoyable to me, personally. On one occasion, I had a teammate who was running a Med Drone 25 fucking meters away, and instead of reviving me, he used it to look for his next kill. Again, he was, and I believe, more focused on his K/D rather than winning the round. I revive whenever it is safe to do so, and sometime when it is not. I do this for the sake of my teammates, because "live" players are critical to winning a round. On another occasion, I had a teammate walk right past me and revive the other teammate that was 10 meters further away from me. Oh, and did I mention, I was running the Med Drone at the time, and I could have revived the other teammate in about a second had I been revived first. It's blatantly obvious that some players show favoritism towards others when it comes to who they choose to revive. I will not have any part in that. Yes, I agree with you 100 percent. I especially hate those screaming into the mic "THEY'RE AFTER ME, THEY'RE AFTER ME" Well, actually they are after all of us because that is part of the game. Also, players need to be quite when your the last guy standing instead of screaming into your ear telling you what to do or shouting out enemy locations. A simple ping is sufficient. This is HUGELY DISTRACTING when trying counter the threat, so please "Be quite! Also, I hope you realize that this game has a strange/goofy 3rd person view, so I may be looking one way, but you think I am looking in another direction and can't figure out why I can't see the target.

TeamSpeak 5 is coming to a community near you
It appears TeamSpeak has recently lost the top #1 slot for voice gaming service, and apparently they are not taking it lightly. It seems Discord, Skype and a few other VOIP apps are gaining ground, so they are responding by releasing TeamSpeak 5 by the end of the year (Q4 2018). They say it will deliver unrivaled performance and features not seen before, and yes, they are skipping TeamSpeak 4 and going straight to TeamSpeak 5. They proudly boast that they "will not provide your data to 3rd parties," along with many other unique features that will set them apart from the competition. Their new slogan is "YOUR TEAM. YOUR RULES." "Use crystal clear sound to communicate with your team mates cross-platform with military-grade security, lag-free performance & unparalleled reliability and up-time. As you may have already noticed they have changed the logo with a more modern style, and have changed their website to reflect their new attitude towards making them #1 again." It's always nice to see the competition bring us nice new toys to play with. TeamSpeak links: Official Site TeamSpeak 5 Download (coming soon) Twitter Facebook Credit: TeamSpeak.com

Battlefield V Alpha testing feedback
Alexander "Soon" Hassoon gave us some feedback on the recent Alpha testing. Here is what he had to say... "Thanks to everyone that took part in the Battlefield™ V Closed Alpha! Not only was the Closed Alpha a chance for select players to go hands-on with an early version of the multiplayer map Arctic Fjord – it generated a lot of valuable data and feedback on how the game plays, performs, and looks. Our server capacity and the total number of players needed to successfully complete our tests were limited – and so was the number of players in the Closed Alpha. We sent out a limited number of invites to Battlefield™ 4 or Battlefield™ 1 veterans that had opted in to receive marketing material from EA, and we handed out Alpha keys through social media to invite players that showed strong interest in joining. Ubisoft steps up Rainbow 6 Siege anti-cheat efforts
Ubisoft has been busy working on combating cheaters, so they have posted an article discussing their efforts towards curbing the cheats found in Rainbow 6 Siege. Here is what they had to say... "Our next steps to combat cheating has been a priority in both the community and on the development team as of late. As such, we have been working towards the implementation of a few different tactics to bolster our anti-cheat. Over the last couple of weeks, we have increased our internal penetration testing efforts. This will allow us to discover more weak points in our architecture and correct them prior to their exploitation by cheat makers. Today, we have deployed a hotfix to address one of the hacks that has popped up recently. We have improved our process in a way that allows us to deploy hotfixes on PC once we have a validated hack fix available. Beginning the week of July 16th, we will initiate the first ban wave for players that have been boosted by cheaters. Based on our data, this will impact approximately 600 accounts globally. As a reminder, being boosted by cheaters is a bannable offense under the Code of Conduct, found here." Read the entire article here... Credit: Ubisoft

EA to offer "Origin Access Premier" game service
I think I am going to try this for a year. It's $99.99 for the year ($8.33 a month), and if I get tired of Battlefield V, I will have other games to play.

EA to offer "Origin Access Premier" game service
Axlerod and I were discussing the new Origin Access Premier service last night. I suggested to him that he could just pay for one month ($14.99) and play Battlefield V (and other games) for the 30 days, and if he liked the game enough, he could either purchase BF-V at a 10% discount (Origin Access discount), or pay the $99.99 to have access to all the new and old games for the year. It's at least something to think about. It's nice to have options. I would have to weigh the benefits of having access to the other games to determine if the subscription service is worth it. I kind kind of would like to try some of the other games because they look interesting, but who knows. If I do decide to try it though, I will wait until just before the game is released when early access to BF-V is available.
