A "standoff" is when neither participants can gain ground, or neither want to make a move. Like, when I own you in DC, you hide inside the buildings, and I wait outside. Thats a standoff.

Yeah.. I'm not really going to comment on the spawn camping and capping points..because I really don't support much except mass killing when I get a little bird... Unless I get into a ground pounding mode..which is easy to get into with DeadRoach on your team. But yes, following orders, capping points more often.. Heck when there is actually someone giving the orders, I follow them.
