Clean Sweep is a decent map but many people do no like it. I think it is a good map, but it plays better with a 64 player size, the MEC base is a hot spot often as it is easier to get at for the USMC. Plus, more vehicles. I would personally prefer to see Daqing Oilfields in place of Clean Sweep.

Try it, you'll like it. The map is the same size, unlike most of the others which resize to add extra points, there is just an one extra cap point while the physical size remains the same as the 32 player map. That extra point can make for great fire fights in the middle of the map.

Keep in mind that it will no longer be possible to repair the BH while sitting inside of it.

I think we should start the map cycle with karkand to draw people into the server, and I have to say, dragon valley does not seem to be a very popular map, we usually lose 5-10 players when that map comes up. I also would suggest changing sharqi to the 64 player map size ala the wss server. That map with 40 players and the extra control point is about the most fun that can be had in BF2, imo.

The nade launchers don't really bother me, but I agree with your point on the insta-prone. They need to put in a scope sway like they have in BFV for proning.

Missions consist of going to a location like a building or a cave and killing mobs. The team missions can be hard without the right mix of classes, but if done right they are fun and rewarding.

I used to play this all the time and I think Deadroach still does. It used to be a very fun time, but I left after one of the expansion packs drove most of the player base out of the old playfields. I'll download it again just to see what has changed since I last played. If anyone wants to do a few missions together, drop me a line.

I personally won't play with fade to black, drives me crazy. But to take care of the problem of giving away positions on ventrillo/teamspeak, we could change this to spectate team only. That way, admins will still be able to go to spectate and watch both teams if there is any question on whether someone is hacking.

Did you notice how alot of content (i.e. weapons, scenes, creatures) was taken out? If you looked at the early screenshots, you know what I'm talking about. My guess is some of this will be included in a Blue Shift type of expansion. Maybe an "additional chapters" kind of thing.
