Actually someone out side of the clan reported you for blowing up ammo boxes, team flashing, and other game play issues we do not allow. You told them stop using the mortar right? BTW we have logs here.

We do not pay by the player for our system, but if you dont then you must know about servers. Some of the things you need to know are how to set things up like the game, make sure there are not any security holes, and many other critical things. The advantage to this is we can put whatever we want on that box and could change games in almost no time. We also can usually get our server update first because we do not have to wait on someone to do it for us if an update comes out during off hours. For a server like ours you can expect to shell out a between $130 - $250 per month not to mention a set up fee that can run from $100 - $250 just to set it up. It just depends on the system you get and the connection. Then if you go over your bandwidth for that month they charge you hella money! The good thing is we have so much bandwidth it would take a lot to run us out. We have protections in place just for that though. To run a full time server like we do and do it right you need a team of good people and some good funding. If you are wanting to do this...a word to the wise do not always count on donations....Some people are nice enought to help but others just dont care because if your server goes down they will move to another one.

I tried the new HL2 mod Plan of Attack...I had such high hopes because it looked like FA, but DEAR GOD...THAT SUCKS. Dont waste your time and bandwidth. Just my two cents.

We corrected the problem it is now at -tickrate 100 and I did OWN. I went 12-1 on office! I do however think it is almost too fast. We need to keep an eye for complaints of choke or loss. Has anyone player around with it at say 75?

Poof It is set at 100 right now... We will keep a close eye on things. If ANYONE see any additional choke or loss please let us know so we can lower it back to 66 and try that. I spoke with Gator and we just raised the tic rate.

We have a ventrilo channel now also. It has some of the best voice quality around. Drop by and say hello sometime.

I have a problem with the new patch too. I was shooting a guy on office tonight with a shotgun. I hit him 3 time in the back and head area. Saw all three round hit and pellet holes. He turned and I broke out the deagle and killed him with one shot to the head. I was starting to get worried. I have seen this on all the servers after the update. Not to mention the name bug and some of the other problems. I hope they fix it ASAP.

First you made a threat to an admin about getting them banned from FAL. You were told on the FA forums how to get unbanned and you would need to come here and follow the guidelines listed you said: http://forums.firearmsmod.com/showthread.php?t=85513 The guys in the Senior Council voted to ban you which included Mac, Gator, Fatty, myself, and several others. The logs were pulled and we felt your actions were not needed nor wanted in the server. I hope you can understand since you only play 1 time a month it shouldnt be a big deal. There are other servers like PoP. Are you unbanned there yet? Also see the reply by another Senior Council member. Paladin didnt perma ban you. He sent the info to us and WE made the call. Does that mean we get banned from FAL too?

First do a few speed test at broadbandreports.com then you will know what kind of speed you have. Then find out what kind of connection are paying for with your ISP. Post back on both and what kind of connection you have. We can tell you if it fits what you should be getting. If you are only getting a 50 download speed. Then that would be top end for say a 512K connection (half a megabit) While the conversion doesnt exactly come out right say for 100 to 1 megabit it is pretty close for your purpose. Downloading a file at 100 Kilobytes actually eaquals about .78 megabits. BTW megabytes, megabits, kilobytes, and kilobits are not the same...they have various abrv. Like Kb and KB are not the same. Thats about as close as you can get in voting. We may do this....I would like to hear from more people. If the people who voted either way but did not post could post what they think also it would be helpful.

When I pick a server one of the first things I look at is player count. What is YOUR favorite player count CS:S server to play on? We have tried various player counts on our server, but I was wondering which you liked the best.

I am not sure we had more maps than that in the cycle. Someone told me this was going on and I checked it tonight and moved contra because they though it was starting the cycle over. I moved Contra to the end of the cycle because if it was causing this for some reason it wouldnt matter at the end of the cycle. Here is the current cycle. If you guys have suggestions please feel free to let us know. The only problem is the custom maps can empty the server. Please be aware we will be changing to another picture gallery that will be more intergrated into the forums and web page. If you have a file in the old gallery you would like to keep, please go there now and download them to a file on your computer, and upload them to the new Gallery, as they will be deleted soon to make room for our new section. You can find the "soon to be OLD" gallery here while it is still up. The new section for the gallery will be nothing short of awsome! You will be able to give your picture "key words", and even sort to see posts/comments by certain members!
