It sucked but we had to eat the cost of to provide this service for the very reason posted above...and yes it is illegal to use the older version. A problem we dont want or need. I would take note of this if I were you before you install an older version on your box.

r5a, The TAC vent is 50 person vent and no unless you are a host you cant host you own. You can do so for private use only. You will be limited to either 5 or 8 slots (cant remember). Carl is correct. The old version allowed you to host as many as you wanted but now is again their TOS to do so. We also checked on paying for our server, but only server hosting companies are allowed to host. The private 8 person slot wouldnt do us any good. So in that respect to your question he actually knows a good bit. As he was in the Senior Council when Ventrilo was first setup and if memory serves correct was the one that told us about it when it was pretty new. He also runs the SRT ventrilo. If you ever actually setup a ventrilo server you will find this 8 person limit in this free version. Carl speaks from working with the program/server not just reading through the FAQ. If you dont believe me about the recall on the rights to use the 2.1.x version just post in their forums and ask. Be ready though.... That is why we had to switch here at TAC to the paid version when it come out.

I am back...sorry no pictures......... They sent a lot of us home early and since my wife had been sick I was one of the first. I was in the Selma area last night and didnt see much other than only a few trees down. On the way back I saw several north of selma toward Hale County as I went North. Hey Sneaky I had to take a cold shower at the National Gaurd on Hwy 80 there in Selma since. For some reason they said they only had power on part of their building...generator I guess. I just know the hot water didnt work not the AC! I was talking to friends that got sent down to Escambia County on the FL/AL line and they said it wasnt that bad there either. They did tell us to keep an eye on the news for the a new one forming. I havent had time to watch yet as most of my bag havent even been taken out of my car yet.

I got the L85 but cant decide what I want next......... I was thinking about the M95 but I have been reading the power is the same as the m24 only less accurate. The other choice is the G36 I guess. What is the unlocked anti-tank smg?

Thank you VERY much for the responding Takedown. After reading your PM to me I feel like you run things much like we do here and look forward to playing with you guys in the future. Maybe we could get up a friendly scrim sometime in the future. I know you guys run a ranked server but if you ever want to kick back and not worry about stats we have an GREAT server that runs as lag free as possible (for a BF2 server). Roach we need to do some research to see if this is possible to unlock the weapons for our server. If so I bet we would keep it full.

Ok guys we have registered in BF2 tracker since I have noticed a few people using it. It will show our stats as a clan. the join password is tac4bf2 The link is for our clan is http://bf2tracker.com/bf2_clanprofile.php?clanid=1021 You will need to have a registered account there...its free. Then find your player info and add that to your profile.

Shooter I could be wrong but I thought you could only get the locked weapons IF you had unlocked them. You can use them in servers who allow unlocked weapons but the only way you could get them is to pick them up from someone you killed that has one OR have them unlocked by playing on a ranked server. Is this not the case? If not we should look into unlocking them on our server. I hate playing on ranked servers but I want the weapons like the Sniper rifle and the medic gun I unlocked. I would also like to have the G3 and the jack hammer...but thats just me. :peace:

I agree Caste but if the math is right 12 years is a bit long. Maybe 2 years...maybe that would be about the life of a game anyway.

As for the parade I think from the sounds of things he was caught in the parade, as almost a part of it. From that stand point I dont think I would have wanted to been in the it either. I am not a "g ay baster" or anything, I just dont want to be in their parade or stuck in ANY parade for that matter when I have somewhere to go. You may want to think of that point before you are to quick to label him as a g ay basher as he never offered judgement on the type of parade being wrong. Welcome to the forums! Fill out that join request and join us on ventrilo sometime, that is how we get to know each other. After we get to know you we will put you up for a vote. Some people get in the clan in a few weeks others take longer. Just depends on how well we get to know the person.

We think the server crash problem is now fixed. Come help us get more people in the server. The server is under the name The Armory
