I was at 1024x768 all max with 2x aa and 8x ansio and HDL.

A little short timewise. Maybe 15 minutes total playing time. Lots of bugs imho. Looks great though. At a price. It Staggers my system.

Maybe. Same reason as SteveO's Dad. I will be out of action/work for 3 months with ACL replacement. Lots of gaming but not spending.

No common sense at all. He is in for a hurting. Burned butt is not fun. And kids. When they say don't do this at home for any reason, anywhere. It is for a good reason.

That is for sure. I have not tried turning down the settings on a lower system yet.

No. V-sync off and upping your refreshrate as high as you can with the monitor you have is the best case situation for max fps.

Naw. Impossible. You must have v-syn off.

I feel for you. I know. Things should be easier than they are sometimes. Since you have the game. As a last chance effort. Register the game and E-mail your favorite company (EA/DICE) with a support question. They should be able to pinpoint the cause exactly.

BF2 is just as good as FA. Intense fire-fights. Different classes. Sprinting. Fun Fun Fun.

Yes. 60 hz is default which will mean less FPS when this is chosen along with no verticle sync. Choose 75 min with V-sync off.

Nice to see you Rancid. Any chance of you getting Battlefield 2 to work on 56K?

Then don't worry about it. Do not use the 60hz refreshrate. The flicker will cause headaches b/c it is not good for your eyes/brain. 75hz min and it does not stess anything out. Sorry Hogan
