An ATI 9100 will run BF2 with 512mb of ram and a CPU of 2000mhz. I have pointed this out many a time in these forums. They were $35 shipped from www.crucial.com refurb. They come in about once a month. I have 2 systems that are capable of this setup. it looks like you are playing Desert Combat b/c the graphics are not up to snuff but the gameplay is fine. As in real war. ( LOLOL ) If you see a a tank or a armored vehicle. What do you do? RUN. Simple. And what is the 16 player not thingy?

B/c our new server is not going to have FA on it most likely. Not our choice but oh well. As for a night we meet on another server. Sure.

BF2 has many similarities to FA: A lot of the weapons are the same. You can sprint You can heal or be healed You can single shot. There are smaller 16 player servers that are sort of like playing FA and have limited amounts of vehicles. So don't think that FA is dead. It has just evolved.

We will test whatever game the server company has availible that we are interested in.

Yes Becca. I remember that. You did great in your first match. That was a lot of fun. I just got you in time to fill an empty spot and you did an outstanding on the spot job. I think the map was Durandal. I have many a memory like that one.

The choice had to be made. FA is dead. For the moment there are still other FA servers out there. There are also other games our clan FA'ers can play like the new DOD:S or CS:S. If you can play FA then for the most part DOD:S and CS:S should be no problem. I myself was torn to try to keep FA alive but it has died. There is NO brining it back unless someone converts a mod similar to it in Source. I know I have been quoted in saying the FA will be around as long as we have people to play it but the server is empty most of the time and in the last two weeks....... not many TAC people have been seen on it b/c there are not that many times that the server has people on it anyway. Gator and I talked and with the donations we have we feel we can keep the BF2 server up and running at least to the end of the year. It was time to move on a server. If Gator had gotten the same server a little more than a month earlier. We could have saved $20/month. We have it now before they possibly raise the rates again. I hope everyone that supports FA understands what is happening here. Now there is an outside chance that the server company will load up FA for source just for us. Time will tell. This server is different than our other server. We can control it but have to pick games from THEIR main server selections. We download it and then run it. We can conceivably play just about any game they have if we want, when we want, but the primary ones will be the ones mentioned above. BFV included too. We do not have an option with this since BF2 Ranked servers have to be run according to EA's server agreement. It has been a fun ride with FA. However. To finally support a different game with this type of server system will let us TRUELY be a Gaming Community. We will be offering more games for our members, followers, and visitors to play and enjoy TAC style. This will be an unprecidented step forward for all of us. DOD:S and CS:S and possibly FA can be played on this new server. Older computers can play CS:S and DOD:S. Just lower the settings.

The clans playing now in FAL or "For the most part that made it to the playoffs" as far as I am concerned. Ruined it by: Their lovely "Leet" attitudes. Their "leet" ways of gamemanship combined with the above. Not helping new players instead and just pounding them into the ground. Snotty and no respect. Sort of first two above but needed mentioning again. Having some of the worst forums around. When you are trying to keep a game alive. The people that could have done it right just played "It" as dumb as they could have. We did not need a better FA. We needed better FA people to keep it alive. You get a game released on Steam and are getting new players by the dozens. Dozens that actually count. What did they do? Flame in the forums. Flame on the servers. Play under aliases and then command no respect from anyone. I could go on and on but I am sure others have more to say.
