  1. It's an easy internet solution, sure. Realize this: most people that are on these forums probably play online games. If you want to play the more recent games with 56k, you're in for some pain.
  2. That's what I'm saying. The sig I have now is evil to the 56k'ers but I have an even bigger one. 8) Personally, I'm surprised people even waste time with 56k. For about 3 times the cost (or less if you're foolish enough to use AOL) you get at least 30 times the bandwidth. It's obviously the better choice.
  3. I found it on the anbudom.net forums. And I stole it. 8)I have a few others like it, but they're too big to put as a sig picture. (Gotta be a little nice to the 56k'ers...)

  8. I love Taco Bell. And I'm possibly the best customer anyone could ask for. Grande Combo is the best. 8)
  9. Looks like we're popular. 8)
  10. Bad taste indeed.... You should look up sadistic and see what it means. You're not using the word in its proper context. :|
  11. Click on the msnm link under my sig and you can see my AIM, Yahoo! and MSN name. Good game, detectives.P.S. Hover over the AIM and Y! link and you can find my screennames hidden in the text that appears on your status bar. If you don't know what the status bar is, turn off your computer now. 8)
  12. Holy crapcakes! I can't believe I forgot to put Outlaw Star on my list. :?

Sam, not making sense and not being true are two different things. "Words mean things." That's what my dad always tells me. 8)and Kywalker, Japanese forged or not, a piece of metal would not cost that much (100 times more seems kind of exorbitant). Until you can give me a price based on some concrete evidence (like I did), I won't believe you.
  14. Metal would be the better heat conductor. Liquid would be better for dissipating heat, which is probably what they should have said. So, Kywalker and Deadeye are correct.

Let me translate Sam.Gen. "If you take a Japanese blade out of its sheath and return it to the sheath without making the enemy bleed with it first, then you will have bad luck." Sheez. It wasn't that hard to comprehend. Sure punctuation would have helped, but whatever. 8) Hmmm... I highly doubt it would cost that much. http://www.historicalweapons.com/japaneseswords.html http://store.yahoo.com/greatsword/shintokatana.html These look pretty good, but don't cost up to $100,000 (US) price range. Usually less than $1,000.
  17. www.samuraichamploo.com It's really new, so there isn't much information out on it. You'll have to use bittorrent to download the fansubs. It's about these two guys who are trying to help this one chick find some Samurai that smells like sunflowers. 8) Animation is smooth and the action scenes are pretty sweet, though. Worth watching.
  18. Well he might have had something similar to what somethingawful.com had, but I also find it hard to believe that somethingawful had all their own original content.Somethingawful's guide to Starcraft and Counter-Strike were pretty good, though.

  21. no, you don't remove them. You open them, delete everything inside them. Save. Then put it as read-only. You should end up with those three files having 0 kb of information in them. Oh yeah. It worked for me. 8)

Flak Magnet, believe nothing that Sam.Gen says. He's a habitual liar.
  23. Bienvenido!
  24. I don't find them cheap. I just don't see why you would need them. I can tell the difference just fine with the default models. 8)
