  1. Hmm, not really sure I'd say that's true for me. Always a steady supply of inebriated morons over the weekend. I can tell you, however, that Sunday nights have always been the "high crimes" nights. I've had more armed robberies (mostly convenience stores) and violent domestic assaults on Sunday nights (early Monday mornings) than over the weekend when you'd more expect them.
  2. No, not a new video card, but my latest family addition, born today (well, yesterday by now), Tuesday 14-NOV-2006 at 1902 hrs, "Mason Michael" weighed in at 7.5lbs and 20 inches long. Mom and baby are doing well and resting comfortably (dad on the other hand, is completely exhausted and barely awake uploading pics... ). http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2005-4/997902/MasonRsz1.jpg
  3. I work for a regional police department. In 18 years, I've played quite a few roles, including four years as a School Resource Office (keeping Rabid Chipmunk and Rybo in line), and have taught DARE for 12 years (even way back when Killer Kitty Kat and Radioactive Hamster where tiny 11 year olds). Currently back out on the street as the Juvenile CI and Evidence Tech (and yes, I hate CSI).
  4. That's more what they'd like you to think than reality. The prosecution venue (here in the US) can be either (A) where the victim resides (or the location to which the bills are sent), ( where the offender lives (or from where he made phone calls, or internet transactions), or © where the attempted purchases were made/attempted. But the investigation is beyond the resources of most departments. Personally, the biggest roadblock I tend to encounter in these investigations is the lack of cooperation from the bank or credit card companies. It's easier for them to simply write off the loss and credit the true victim than to spend the time working with the investigator to proscute the case. I recently had a rock-solid case in which I even had PHOTOS from an ATM and had positively identified a person. I had to hound the bank for their cooperation. The bad guys know this, and have little to lose. And when we DO get a successful prosecution of a suspect in a different state, our local District Attorney is reluctant to authorize the extradition due to the money involved in bringing them back compared to the amount of the loss.
  5. I received the "Problem Solver" pin attacking an enemy Titan. Now if I could only figure out what the "problem" was that I "solved", perhaps I'd get another... I honestly have no idea what I did at the time to receive it.
  6. Yup, my bad. That'll teach me to read forums whilest on pain medication...
  7. Scary thing is, put a mop of curly hair on top, and it would actually look like him!

Only going by the dual canopy, I'd have to go with.... Hmmmm, if I get it right Mac's going to say I cheated. Gawd I hate them spiders.
  11. LOL!! There's that Antietam education at work. And to think the school taxes in the area are the highest county-wide.
  12. What happened last year when they let Chipper help park the B-17s: http://www.b17sam.com/files/crash.jpg
  13. LOL!!! That's it, from now on I'm not bringing any more Coca-Cola to you Mac - you guys clearly have had FAR too much caffeine!!
  14. Chipper, my guess would be that EA has somehow seen that hair you have. No self-respecting sergeant would be seen with a mop like that. I'd suggest getting it shaved over break and seeing if that makes a difference...
  15. It should be clear to all now why Mac has such a high post count. You'll notice from the first pic he put the tree in front of the door. Simple fact is, he can't leave the house... Merry Christmas Mac, and the rest of TAC.
  16. I woulda thought the pain meds would have run out by now...
  17. Must be nice sittin' at home all day with your knee propped up on a chair...
  18. Phwew - thought it was just me that got the punt last night. And I was well on the way to a gold that round...
  19. Mac, Mal-Mart was running a special on Grecian Formula. I'd suggest stocking up now. Those gray hairs are going to doubling at exponential rates now...

Firewall issue? Port blocked? If singleplayer runs fine, that would seem to limit the driver issue. Your rig sounds very close to mine.
  21. This will answer your questions concerning the patch issue: Nice, huh? Makes you wonder why all the "official" EA servers never updated to begin with.
  22. This is one of the only advantages of the Barrett over the standard issue sniper rifle - the ability to shoot through vehicle ****pits. We tried various "stationary target" tests with the .50 and unless you get that headshot, it still takes 2-3 (even 4 on some occassions) hits to get a kill. If you can get the headshot you're good, but you'll also get the same result with the standard rifle. Rather disappointing. And anyone naive enough to sit still in a vehicle long enough for a sniper to get that headshot from afar kinda deserves a thwak in the forehead... (Hmmmm...filter doesn't like ****pit. Um, "vehicle's windowed interior"?)
  23. I went with the DAO12 AT upgrade. Like DeadRoach, I've been doing quite a bit of support role - especially on the urban maps (nothing like laying down a fire field down a narrow alley). I was torn between the PKM, the DAO, and the G3. In the end, I looked at which would be the best improvement for me overall. As was mentioned, you lose the M203/GL when going to the G3, and the regular SAW was working pretty well in support roles. But up close, that DAO is a beast. It's a lot easier to cap/hold a flag position having AT capability AND the abilty to decimate anyone who comes in close with those buckshot rounds to the face. I was VERY disappointed at the sniper upgrade. A .50cal should not take 2-3 center-of-mass hits to bring down infantry!
  24. Turn off your hacks... :peace:

Yup, you'll definitely be removed from the server list. You should, however, still show on other browsers such as All-Seeing Eye, etc... From my one admin, all he had done was to (shut down the server first, then) edit the python unlock file as previously noted (change the 0,0,0,0,0 etc to 1,1,1,1,1,1 etc.) The number of ranked servers has dramaticaly increased in the past week or so. Using an alternate browser (I use ASE), it's easy to find dozens of non-full ranked servers - even empty ones. It's hard to compete with a ranked server, even though the gameplay is "better" when people play the game right. Hopefully, in a month or two the "rank fever" will die down.
