I think "We are Not Alone" was their best. Sadly, they didn't improve as much as a group as I'd have hoped. The band is from the Wilkes-Barre, PA area, about 90 north of me and my college stomping grounds. They had a lot of interpersonal issues between members early on. I'm hoping they begin to "evolve" back to earlier style.

Here's a favorite of mine: If you're on a server where Friendly Fire is set to ON, and you see someone putting 3 demopacks on a core console, DON'T stay in the room firing your pistol at the console trying to destroy it. And if you continue to stand there whilest everyone else is running from the room, DON'T choose to punish for the TK when you perish. I was clearing all four consoles with a squad the other night, being resupplied after each; one putz NOT in the squad always would run in the room and not leave after the packs were placed. Each and every one would then punish, despite being told to "go, go, go" half a dozen times. :thumbsup:

It was rather minor. I wasn't so much concerned for his safety as I was curious as to whether he actually CAUSED it. Of course, if you've ever seen Mac's basement, a little shaking and "stuff falling off shelves" might just be sufficient to bury him under 6-7 feet of computer equipment...

Short bursts are definitely the key to the Bauer. I find myself rolling with the Bauer the most lately. I'm somewhat surprised that more people aren't using the active camo and demo packs against armor. If I'm holding a point and a tank starts bullying infantry, I've been very successful coming back Recon, going active camo, and demo packing his hind quarters. Rekindles those old BF C4 memories.

Shaders have always reoptimized for me after applying a BF patch (even back in BF2). However, if you play a server that runs a map more than once, you'll see the "reoptimizing" message at the end of the Titan round again...well, right before you CTD.

The latest on the "End of Titan Round Crash": I understand the frustration Ding, this bug bit me today too. I was fine until this evening, when I first crashed. Thinking it was simply a driver issue (as EA originally reported), I rolled back the nVidia driver, re-installed Coolbits, re-OC'd, etc., etc.... After two successful map endings, I'm right back where I started from. At least the issue has been identified. AKA: Get ready for another patch.

Ding, Are you running an nVidia card? Have you tried this?

Have you guys tried making your changes "by hand" directly to the controls.con file? At least EA listened to one big complaint from BF2 and made the reassigning of default keys easier. But there are still a few I use that you can't swap in the options menu. I simply edit the .con file and save. (Be sure to use the one in your "My Documents" folder, not the BF2142 folder).

Good thoughts, but I wonder how much of a difference it would really make on what seems to be everyone's big complaint - the corridor mining on the Titans (admittedly, a frustration for me as well). If you think about it, most of the mines are placed ahead of the friendly ingress routes (between the console room and the cargo bay door), and during heavy assault, friendlies aren't really running down the corridors ahead of the mines. As such, FF isn't really that much of an issue in that circumstance, and you're still going to see that "APM Wall" in the hallways, with or without FF on. I take more FF on the Titans from friendlies lobbing grenades indiscriminately...
