  1. Drink at least 3 big glasses of water, followed by two pieces of bread. Hangovers are caused by dehydration, so the combination of hydrating and absorbing the alcohol does the trick. Or you could be magical like me and wake up hangover free every time... And Tilgado, my dad has sleep apnea and uses a Cpap machine when he sleeps. He says he's never slept better. He went to a local hospital and did a sleep test and that's what they recommended. http://www.cpap.com/
  2. This is the kind of bike I ride. 1983 Suzuki GS1100E. It's a beast of a rocket.
  3. Wow, this thread took a turn for the worst right away... Anyway. What kind of mouse pad do you have? If it's a hard plastic one, the icemat feet will work. Or, getting an IceMat will work. Or recharge the battery. Clean the bottom off, q-tip the optic area; it could be a number of things.
  4. Lyrics to a Rob Zombie song. Psyclone Jack Hallucinating Hack Thinks Donna Reed Eats dollar bills 10 points to anyone who can guess what song WITHOUT looking it up.
  5. Eh heh... have fun with that... The labs weren't my favorite. Best weapon in the game (in my opinion) G36, hands down. They come with a scope, are readily available, don't break down much, almost no recoil, and a crazy fire rate. The only M4 I ever got that Deli is describing though was modified to be a sniper rifle, so the fire rate was next to nothing on it. Other than that, the Tunder is a formidable weapon towards the end of the game, and at the very end, the SC20k.
  6. You're looking at about 6 fps; nothing to write home about. 9 if you're doing SLI on both cards. The 7900 gt ranks higher according to Tom's Hardware, but I don't think they're far enough apart to even worry about it.
  7. I wish I had the cash for that right now... Maybe next time I get paid, if they're still around that is. Two weeks from this friday
  8. Stalker isn't quite as scary as FEAR was, but it's got some of the same elements when you're in the underground labs or going through a building at night. You can get pretty freaked out in those places. I think it's got a good balance of creepy vs. jump out and scare you. I think the biggest difference is it doesn't have the ambient sound FEAR does.
  9. You can't kill fire anomalies. You just have to avoid them. Look where the screen looks wavy, like there's gas coming up from the ground. That's where they are. Just step away. If I remember the part you're on, down in a lab for the first time, there's nothing really in that room anyway. The fire randomly flies around the place, so just avoid it as best you can and get on out.

You know what you're doing and you should be ashamed...
  11. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/18183171/displaymode/1107/s/2/framenumber/1/ Pictures from the "manifesto" he sent to NBC in the hours between the shootings at the dorm and the rest of the murders. There's also a link to a clip played on NBC news in case you missed it. It includes some of a video recorded by the shooter.
  12. Or fell through a door looking for your cousin... Got any pictures of animals doing that?
  13. First off, this kid is a crap writer. If you're going to VT for English and you're going to write something this messed up, take the time to do it well. Second, as disturbing as it may be now that he murdered 32 people, I've read much more disturbing things by people who didn't snap and shoot up their college. It'd be nice if we could pay attention to every whining kid that can't get a date or that was stalking people. People even gave this kid attention and a chance to get some help and it wasn't enough. It's too bad he committed suicide. That kind of death is too good for him. Coward.
  14. America's got issues. It's true. But I believe it's mostly in the area of the displacement of blame and lack of attention people pay to others. I mean look at this kid. Look at Columbine. Less than a year before the guys at Columbine went on their spree they made a video for school of the exact same thing happening. Doesn't anyone think that should have sent some warning bells off? Video games are being blamed because people need a scapegoat so it isn't their problem. If there's nothing they could do they don't have to feel guilty. The problem is that there are a few studies out there to support this. I'm doing a paper on the subject. These studies are purely based on experimental evidence, which means they're easily discredited but they found that violent content over a long period of time can cause violent tendencies. They don't mention that this is without a counter balance of morality such as PARENTING. Now this kid is in college. Shouldn't he have a moral structure of some kind in place? A way to cope with loss and grief? Parents and friends around him he could call to dissuade him from doing anything drastic? I've had the woman I love leave me and it was tough and it sucks, but I didn't go on a killing spree or kill myself. America's sick in a lot of ways but it's not just because the laws we have in place. It's because no one cares about the people around them and parents are raising kids without instilling morals. Parents today are weak. Most just let their kids do what they want. It's also dismissive to think just because someone can buy a handgun and go on a killing spree it's the law's fault. While I agree this sort of thing would be cut down by only allowing only people who need them to have them (Jamaca's got the right idea about gun control as far as I'm concerned), he should have never used it in the first place. This is America. You walk down the right back alley in America and you can get anything you want. Laws or no. It's tragic, but putting the blame on violent media is just going to satisfy those looking not to take any blame for their lives. So screw them. They need to grow a pair and step up and take responsibility. This kid as well. He did this because a girl broke up with him. NO ONE CARES about your pain kid because they're wrapped up in their own lives. And you know what? Becoming a murderer isn't going to make anyone care any more than they did when it happened. People need to grow up. /rant.
  15. It isn't. After a month the digital ports went out (DVI and HDMI). I didn't have any problems up until then though. Working in analog I haven't had any troubles with it except every once and a while the buttons on the side quit working. I just unplug the power and plug it back in. I believe I just got a bad one; I've read nothing but good things about this monitor and once I RMA it, I'm sure I'll use it for a long time. If I were you though, if you're looking to spend this kind of money, I'd get the Samsung 226BW. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824001096&CMP=OTC-RSS Faster response time, higher contrast ratio (with dynamic contrast enabled), same size, almost the same price, and a better buy in my opinion.
  16. His monitor is being put to good use Hope you don't mind good buddy! I'll actually be sending mine in for an RMA tomorrow hopefully, so it won't be for long. Just thought it would be fun. /monthly_06_2011/post-620-130810193752_thumb.jpg

The average American walks approximately 900 miles a year. The average American also consumes approximately 22 gallons of beer a year. That means the average American gets about 41 miles to the gallon.
  18. Very much so. It's a great balance of action and strategy. It keeps you busy when you want it to. The tactics and AI are fairly good although I'm noticing sometimes the AI get a little stupid. They'll stand outside a door and let you come around, flank them, and just mow them down. Most of the time though they'll come from different angles, use cover; they won't make it easy. There's a ton to do. Most of the time single player gets boring because there's no one to talk to but in this you'd much rather get out and do the stuff because it's great to just explore too. Speaking of, I've got 2 hours to finish three missions because I kept screwing around and getting different things. It's a great game. Now if my monitor was working well enough it would look fantastic on top of being fantastic...
  19. It helps if you turn off the dynamic lighting. It helps a LOT. The other two types of lighting actually run in DX8 and the game still looks good. Otherwise, here's a link to someone's tweaked settings file. I've tried it and they have dynamic lighting on but this plus turning it off should help. Also, why can't I use mouse buttons 4 and 5? Grr.
  20. I just got it as well and I have to say I'm a fan. It's a big hardware intensive but even on lower settings it still looks amazing. Very smooth, lots to keep you busy. The missions have time limits on them sometimes so it gets you moving. The maps are huge. I have to say I'm a big fan of this game. Well worth the wait and the money. I'll have to tackle the multiplayer sometime soon. Also, a little side note, it doesn't require the cd to be in the drive after you install it. Just that small little detail makes me happy.
  21. The gameplay in BF2 was so much better than 2142. You don't get stuck on a rail road track or trying to go up stairs. Overall it was just put together better. I like the guns in 2142 better and the way you do unlocks and how you get points, but playing BF2 is a much less aggrivating experience.
  22. My God seti's done it again. Thanks dude  And god-cow, go home. This is how much <3 Wellseh has: <3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3
  23. Cow's back and already chastising Klink... *sigh* That sucks Eski. You didn't happen to slip with a baseball bat, taser, or water balloon right into your case did you? All three things going out at once; definitely sucks hard.
