  5. I run XP Pro w/SP2 and run and install all the critical updates. I've only experienced one problem with an updated from them and it was while I was running Win98 I think, it caused a slow down in the system, but was fixable by uninstalling it. THey then shortly moved it off the critical update list, and came out with another one... I very rarely have any problem with the current OS, and the few times I do, its usually user generated problems. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a Microsoft follower, but I have been pretty pleased with XP Pro from start to current. TFD
  6. Yep, same here DEFCON, I would never go back. Was a slow, reluctant convert from Win98 (eek), but glad I finally did it.. TFD
  7. Thats because they dropped support for it almost immediately after they released it... TFD

Negative, better watch the movie again. His brother was the first to figure out what happened, and that why he was beating the snott out of him at the end, and his buddy pulled the gun on him at the end. It was all his brother and his brothers friend. They shot at her in the car, beat her, then shot her again (in the head), and drug her into the woods. They then called 911, from a payphone (actually the friend of the mute brother did), said they found a car, dispatcher asked their location, and his name, he then tells mute brother "they want to know HER name". He then tells the dispatcher, "we're outta here, good luck!". The boyfriend had nothing to do with it. The mute knew his brothers plans to run off with the girl, and didn't want him to leave, so he and his friend axed her. The boyfriend knew about his dads gun that had been used in a robbery involving his dad, when the cops traced the balistics to that gun, the boyfriend denied knowing about it, then went to go get it, and discovered it missing... 14. Would have to disagree.. Happily married for 10, almost 11 years, have 3 kids, and still do what I want, when I want, and still spend alot of time with the family. 8) TFD p.s. in regards to the original post.... "No"....

  18. If getting a linksys wireless G router with the 4 port switch, just be aware, that you may experience an issue with it periodically dropping both the hardwired port connections, and the wireless connection, and then reconnecting. Don't panic, it is fixable with a firmware update. Can't remember the exact model number, but I know from experience with a recent client of mine... :DTFD
  19. Yea, was working fine for me last night, then tonight, problems. They seem to have pretty well cleared up though. TFD

  22. Its ok for the first few times, but does get old after awhile. I do like to hear what goes on at other sites to, so changing settings isn't really an option. Could press the stop button, but why should I have too? Another website I visit regularly has sound on the main page too, but it also has a handy little button to push that shuts it off, and stays off on future visits unless I turn it back on. Just my thoughts and comments on the music for the site. The site in general is high quality, and done quite well. TFDp.s. I do get sound, when going to the TAC member forums too, probably do to it opening up a new window, instead of changing the current one?
  23. Yea, the 64 bit cpu's run 32 bit apps quite fast... TFD
  24. Ugh.. read the title and the post people..... Was posting for those WHO MIGHT BE DOING SOMETHING SOON SYSTEM WISE. These types of upgrades will not be for your average joe... I've built one 939 system for someone, and the CPU was about 75% of the over all cost (it was an FX5300). I've been hearing that 939 pricing was about to start coming down drastically. Wasn't looking for opinions and what not, cause I really don't care, just sharing something I found today while browsing one of my regular sites, and knowing the HL2 following we have here... Guess I'll just keep stuff to my self from now on. TFD
