  1. LOL, everyone thinks that you should be able to put the pointer on the guys head from a long distance, pull the trigger and he be dead. Not so, you need to account for distance, and adjust your elevation. At a distance, you aim at his head, you actually either miss completely, or hit him in his body armor.. The rifle is not the problem, your aim is.. Aim a little high, the more distance, the more elevation is needed. Not alot though TFD

In what, not much a problem here, except when I try to spray. Short bursts, and a little aiming are the key... (in BF2 that is..) TFD
  3. I find that the turrets are considerably slower than in BF42 or BFV? TFD
  4. Nope... Part of the game, don't spawn on the deck, grab a boat, and go get a flag.. TFD
  5. Yep, I think all in all, it's pretty good. Something to make be a little better aim.. Oh, and I'm glad they didn't include the music thing. Was annoying in online play, and could be used tactically against you. TFD
  6. I do believe that will be there Caste. I've seen several videos of just that exact thing.. (I think) TFD
  7. -TAC-TFD2001 .. TFD
  8. No, the timer will still show with the hack, but when it runs out, the round just keeps going.. TFD
  9. Good points Disposable, and I agree about the chopper thing in BFV and the points you made about them in BF2. So far, all is well.. TFD
  10. I don't mind it. War is war. If the enemy has the opportunity to attack the main base of the enemy, do you think they just sit back and say, well, we have all the other positions we need, let break out the cards, and pb&j and wait for them to come try to take them. The idea of this game is to take all the spawns you can, then pin the enemy down, so they can take no others. Does this become frustrating at times, heck yes, I've cussed about it a number of times, and probably will again, but its part of the game. Frankly, I'm getting tired of all the moaning and groaning about a DEMO. It's basic rules are the same as all the BF series, if you don't like those, then you're probably not gonna like BF2, save your money, don't buy it, and go back to playing FA/H1/H2 or whatever it is that makes ya happy.... 11. A few things to consider... 1. internet gaming 2. differences in body armory between the kits, him wearing it, you shooting him in it (torso shots), and him shooting you in the head. 3. Sniper rifles, the bullet path drops at distance, so if you aim at his head, from a distance, you hit him in the torso (again, body armor). The farther away you are, the more elevation is required in your shot. Just takes some getting used to, and being a better, more accurate shot... Especially if your not used to the Battlefield family.. Oh, and their never gonna make everyone happy, me personally, I'm loving it... TFD
  12. Yep, no issues here either... TFD

That's the way it looks, unless their site is just out of date? TFD
  14. Can be found here: http://www.totalbf2.com/ on their front page. I've been using these guys for alot of my info, as they seem to be really on top of things as far as BF 2's progress.. TFD

Not aware of it out yet... Demo is rumored to be scheduled for tomorrow, and Gator and I discovered that Best Buy has the DVD release of the full game on Tuesday, the 14th, with the CD-Rom release on the 18th.. TFD

Here's a copy of the Ver. 1 Readme from Battlefield 2. Source: http://forums.totalbf2.com//showthread.php?t=4473&page=10&pp=20 I have attached the "readme.txt" file below for easy reading. Place your comments here :sorry: readme.txt readme.txt
  17. This is what Best Buy has listed for "Minimum" specs for the game (DVD release of 06/14 BTW and CD release of 06/18). Minimum PC System Requirements PC Processor Type Intel Pentium 4 processor, AMD Athlon XP processor PC Processor Speed 1.7GHz PC Operating System Windows XP PC System Memory 512MB RAM PC Hard Drive Space 2.3GB PC Video 128MB DirectX 9.0c-compatible NVIDIA GeForce FX 5700 or ATI Radeon 8500 video card PC Sound Card DirectX 9.0c-compatible sound card PC Drive Type and Speed CD-ROM 8x PC Additional Requirements Internet service required to access online features What I find could be problem for alot of people, and I've seen alot of talk on it at numerous sites, is the Requirement of WinXP.. Anyone else notice that? Won't be a problem for me, but..... TFD
  18. Ever go to a software store and look at the software selections? Shelves, and shelves, and aisles and aisles of PC software, and over in a dark corner, a lone shelf, with all the Mac software available... That's what cracks my arse. How can anyone be happy with such a limmited software selection.. Our graphics guy here is always talking about how good Mac is, and I always bring that point up. Unless your into advertising, or hard core graphics work, I don't see the point of a Mac, especially when they tend to be so much more expensive too.. TFD
  19. I saw a list of a ton of cards once that would and would not work in the game, and the TI4200 was one of the ones that specifically was listed as "could not" (I looked because of my older machine having it). Now, how "official" was this list, I'm not sure, but if you look at the TI4200 specs. Based on this link, which has alot of cards on it, the TI4200 has a 1.3 Pixel shader, and the game is said to require 1.4. http://users.erols.com/chare/video.htm TFD :edit: Well, on another site, I read that the game "supports" 1.4 pixel shaders? So, I don't really know what to think now? Maybe it will be possible that it could run at a lower level on the Ti4200, but more places than not that I've seen say it won't..?

Well, I didn't like it at first, but I'm a converted Dodge guy, and it's growing on me. However, I'm a huge Mustang fan too, and would pic it over the charger right now. Here's some pics of the charger, a tame "stock" version, and a pic of the SRT-8 version.. Available (depending on model) with a 3.5 ltr 6 cylinder, 5.7 ltr Hemi, or 6.1 ltr Hemi.. 21. Mac, unfortunately, the 4200 doesn't support the 1.4 pixel shader that BF2 is going to require. I have the 4200 ti in my old machine, and my son is going to be upset if he isn't able to play (old machine is now basically his), so, I have a feeling, a new card for me is in order, and move my current card to his machine.. I believe I read that the main requirement is the 1.4 pixel shader, if the card supports that, and the memory requirements for the video, then I think you should be at least able to run it.. TFD
  22. LOL... Kids... Sometimes you wish their parents never gave them a computer... TFD

  25. No, you need to plug in a power connecter from your PSU to the video card, if that's the type of connector you're refferring too, the card needs the extra power.. TFD
