That's a good idea. As for me, playing the beta. It is a fun game. Just like the beta of BF2 was. I'm praying they fix a good portion of the problems before the release, unlike BF2. Also, I hope they just don't drop support for this like they did for BF2.

I wouldn't say more powerful. Definately more accurate though. It doesn't go light for me again. It just stays completely dark.

When ever I go into the Titan, all I see is total darkness. I can see the doors and names of other players, thats it. Does anyone else have this problem?

Does it support 1280x1024? It wasn't in the display option for me. :thumbsup: I like BF2 hit detection a lo more then that damn red circle. I will give it another try so someone can kind of walk me through it a bit. I really had no idea what the hell was happening.

I just read that off of the EA forums. I hope this is true. I guess it doesn't come as a suprise though.

Later this week there wil be a rather low key announcement that EA are officially dropping support for BF2; quote: "In preparation for the earlier than expected release of BF2142". Despite the public betas and extensive, and indeed very costly testing by DICE and partners, solutions to the outstanding and most notorious issues of BF2 post 1.3 have remained elusive. Support for the game has dropped by nearly 50% since the release of patch 1.3 and ranked server rental by over 70%. With this in mind it is no longer feasible for EA to continue to support a game that has seemingly terminal problems the pursuit of solutions for which have run into a prohibitive area of cost. EA gave a first sign of the imminent demise of bf2 by permanently closing all UK multiplay servers backed by its UK offices earlier this week, and by sending instructions to ranked server providers to wind down the service. If BF2 end users will be disappointed by the lack of server support, the imminent end of EA's contract for player database storage with Gamespy may well raise tempers. EA's agreement with Gamespy ends on October 1, and as EA will use their own EA membership service to log player records for BF2142, the BF2 gamespy service will terminate on this date, meaning all current BF2 ranked players will lose all playing records. The final BF2 patch release will be a new 1.4b patch, which will remove the log in screen function but as a small bonus will allow all bf2 players to have all unlock weapons ingame, hardly much reward for the hard work put in by the legions of let down bf2 fans. somebdy at EA has some hard work to do over the next few days, and the success of BF2142 looks even more critical than ever for the PC gaming crowd.

They say wireless mice are getting better though deli! I'm with ya. I don't like wireless mice. Unless I was playing an RPG then I could put it on my tv and be good to go. Which isn't a bad idea at all....

That is bit of an understatement. Deli doesn't drink much. Infact he probably had more to drink before he turned 21 then he has afterward. Then this one night came along. My cousin gave me a big box full of goodies. One that Deli, to say the least, fell in love with. It was what he mentioned. Homemade peppermint shnapps. Made by one of my uncles. There was roughly a quart of more left in the bottle and Deli finished her off. Truely amazing! What was even more amazing was that he could still semi walk/stumble to places. All in all it was a pretty good night. If only I could get him to come to the bar with me now...LOL!

Seagate Here take a look at these. I know they are about twice as much, but there have been a lot of good reviews about them. I've been thinking about getting them myself for a raid setup.

I'm fairly sure our server would stay populated if it wasn't for the damn crashes. No doubt. Untill they fix that I do not see a point in keeping the server running. If the next patch does fix the crash like they say it will, well i guess we could see how things go and then decide. Otherwise, i'm with option three. Save our funds for 2142. Hopefully that will sweep us off our feet.

Might be illeagel but, someone that has fileplanet could DL then put it on the forums for the members. I don't know if that would be going to far since we all will eventually get it.

If EA cared enough about this, this wouldn't be happening. I'm kind of wondering how 2142 is going to be any different. I wouldn't be suprised if multiple arty strikes do come along. I know there is a hack where it has it recharge quicker, but multiple arty strikes will probably send this game to the grave for me. That and it might kill the server or lag people all ta hell.
