  1. Wow. I have'nt bothered to check this forum for long time as i figured bf2142 would be same as bf2 but different maps/player models/weapons... Thanks TigerHawk and Gator for so much impressive info. I stand corrected, in my seat. It truly is something to look forward to. The knowing who is around cover that team mate can see is great and reasonable since with current troop technology of headsets, we would know this from team radio channel like in FA. Cool. Next concern is minimum system requirements.
  2. i had probs like that though maybe not the same ... i tried deleting contents of desktop\my documents\battlefield2\cache ... no help ... but i scanned all folders and files in there for recent ones and saw ones from around the time my prob started ... they were in the dmp folder ... empty that folder, restart pc and try again. worked for me.

if you are happy, not lonley, keeping busy, you need no more. you get relationships from your jobs and volunteer work. the interaction and satisfaction from interacting/helping in these likely give you more then you would get from working on the same with one person. They don't argue as much with you i bet. I think you're doing admirably well with all those ventures that help others and keep you busy. As well as the satisfaction you get trying to be helpful. 2 thumbs up. Something i think retires need to do, keep busy at somethng they enjoy, especially if helping others.
  4. Welcome Cow. Sorry I totally forgot about WAW and the forums until I saw the farewell link posted here. I'll try to remember to check it out more often.
  5. I said that to priest that day. He looked at me funny and said he was single.
  6. Did i miss it ?
  7. Atleast they slacked off near end ? I saw an interview with refs once. They sometimes try to set a good example at start, especially important games, which usually get blamed on poor reffing, that both sides are to beware of "losing it", so to speak. They do this in hopes to remind players to keep it clean. This might work if they called against both sides equally or tried to. Doesn't always happen. They try to back off near end so outcome is not determoned by just them. Ofcourse it's all easier said then done, depending on players and some good actors drawing penalties against other team to get advantage that way.
  8. what worked for me mac covered pretty much ... don't go alone but with few... stay low ... we actually crawled on stomachs around perimeter under cover of bushes and tress to sneak to their flag ... if noticed we stayed behind cover and waited for them to try and flank us and come into our sights... we the few left got close i rolled and shot and got 2 of the 3 before they nailed me... was fun i was last player alive killed with their last player killing me... i loved the suspense of stealth and possible surprise.
  9. "Stay away" sounds reasonable. "Nuts" as in personal property not to be touched or stolen = yes.

"Altered States" ? What in the what in the what is going on here ? "Hammered" ? Hope not http://www.amazon.com/gp/music/clipserve/B000002UI8001001/0/ref=mu_sam_wma_001_001/102-5083395-0088955
  11. if it was obvious where it should be, i'd solder it in myself or get shop to. just be sure to not use more solder then appearing elsewhere on card. sure you risk voiding warranty if it looks tampered with after the fact. but the cost for pro to do it would be maybe $5 vs the additional $30 you need now for replacement.
  12. let this be a lesson to all, especially young ones, that what you think may be taken as funny, may not be seen as that. He maybe meant no harm or insult but didn't think it through enough first. Think before you speak or act. Thanks for the post and glad you'll be okay.
  13. Eagle eyes have sharp aim.
  14. Where's the French fries selling Monk ?
  15. A simple lol would be a wasted post sort of, so i'll try to actually say something that makes cents... ummm ... oops, excuse me ... I liked the fart one as it reminded me of the dangers of eating beans, getting gas and being near things that may spark.
  16. That "cracked" me up.

Just don't eat beans before playing.
  18. LOL. I just came from http://forums.worldatwarmod.com where some of the original FA team is beta testing WAW. It's not ready yet. I asked if they'd be interested in more beta testers from here. Otherwise, there's lots of games out there and mods for HL1, HL2, BF2... Or maybe you should try a change of pace with a strategy type like the Red Alert series of games. Klink and I used to bounce between FA and RA2.
  19. Does it come with cream and sugar ? Flavors I mean.
  20. Congrats on a very detailed sell page. Might be easier if it came with ram. So people could swa pit with their current mobo and connect devices and go, right out of the box. How much were you hoping to get ?
  21. Stay away from it when you have "gas".
  22. Maybe it would. TigerHawk pointed out that I heard it fine with headphones. But when she played it cranked up much louder in phones, with me 4 feet away, I could not hear it yet she could at that distance. So older ears may not pick it up at distance and volume that young ears would.
  23. Can that really happen as violently and repeatedly as it did ? Or is it possible someone wanting to make point had unit "rigged" ?
  24. Funny. I think the body and head were pasted overtop map pic. I just can't see that happening. If enemy fire did that, I suggest he crazy to stick his neck out that far and should use crazy glue.
  25. Cool, my ears still work well enough at that frequency atleast.
