D-day anniversary today
Ironic that this time it's 6/6/06. Beginning of the end, for WW2. Normandy Beach landing attack. Canada = Juno beach. U.S. = Omaha beach. Britain = Sword beach. They were told expect 20,000 of 100,000 losses which ended up around 7,000. Gliders at night secured 6 bridges to beachead. Paratroopers reinforced bridge holders within 14 hrs. Beachead taken and advanced to bridges in about 48 hrs. The game Hedal of Honor: Spearhead puts you in this scenario. The beach assault is very hard. Try it for tsate of what it was like. It is very well done and very hard.

Gratz to any of the seniors that graduated >_>
Salutations to all graduates. Hopefully they make good use of it and don't let it "go their heads" feeling mockumantary of others. May you continue to make good decisions and be fruitful. Best wishes.

free windows defender to go byebye soon
Using Spybot free scan has solved many a laggy prob as well as learning what was truly needed at startup or not from it's advanced view startup list. Spywaredetector has further found high risk entries in registry that after removing cleared laggy internet performance that even saw highr bf2 fps online. Firewall often blocks attempts from all over trying various things. Atleast it gives explanation of where from and what it tried and risk level. Viruses are likely to come from email. Most of us get tons of unaskedfor junk email which is how some viruses enter. Not just from attachments, but lookign at them as their email animation executables run. So I would never check email without antivirus from reputable company that constantly updates and makes easy reporting of suspected virus email as well as a smart watch to detect unknown new ones. Seems working for me. Caught the odd one in email that was automatically deleted and info sent to company about.

Edmonton Wins!!!!!
Good point Sharp6. I lean with Klink from his icing point of view. The total penalties called against US and Canack teams shows heavily against Canucks, especially when in us rink. hmmmm. maybe coincidance even if 3:1 ratio.

just had to post this!
Vegatarians rule, atleast for less health problems and longevity. Fish and white meat okay too. Red meat being linked from research to cancer like most things theses days.

Yo Yo Yo
Good memorial mentions Sharp6 and BTD. I salute Britain 1st, for hanging on as long as they did, without which, our future may have been different once the U.S., Canadian, Australian war machines got building fast and organizing assault before Hitler leveled and attacked Britain, cutting off those ports from us. http://www.amazon.com/gp/music/clipserve/B000068FXX001007/0/ref=mu_sam_wma_001_007/103-4001177-5771062

EA Boardroom Meeting?
"Dev: But we haven't added the European Army or, the highly requested maps on US soil yet. Don't get me started on the "progress" over at DICE Canada. Plus, there seems to be an issue where names appear red instead of . . ."

Possible Ultra High Detail settings for BF2
You may want to check this forum site incase you have probs like we had and occaisionally have with TigerHawk's Asus Nvidia N6600-256 mb ddr vcard. It's compatible with mobo agp 4x as she has. But barely performs as well as my ATI 9600 XT - 128 mb ddr also in 4x agp slot. Seems the 6000 series underperform in 4x agp slot and only 1.5 volts at slot. http://vip.asus.com/forum/topic.aspx?board_id=9&model=N6800+Series&SLanguage=en-us

Armored Fury Videos
Lightning was cool. Be nice if it would do damage. Especially if it could be dorected like artillery, as in RA2 Yuri's Revenge.

Some interesting mods....
Thanks, interesting. I tried paintball. Was last on team and got rather bruised, rolling and shooting to take out 3.

Possibly more changes in 1.3?
DOH !! Thanks. Mostly only TigerHawk gets those with her N6600. I suspect nay be due to various old nvidia stuff still showing in add/remove list that does not give option of repair or removal or anything. Yet there are other same links there that are removable. So same name suggests to me a mess up in registry and with driver files and dll's. But I don't feel like nuking it all yet. Maybe should and revert to basic vga drivers, reboot, delete all nvidia folders, etc ... but i suspect she may need an advanced nvidia driver cleaner first... maybe in time.

anyone's tv or net down ?
I'm curious as our Canada Shaw TV and Internet was down. Tv and internet was down from about 4:30 est... tv came back around 5am est... net just came back at 6am est. Anyone else notice disruption anywhere ? Seems too quick a repair for major hub wire down. Seems either a major software attack or maintenance shutdown which was not announced as they have always announced such disruptions in emails for past disruptions before the fact in past.

New NVIDIA GeForce 7950GX2 video card
I'm turned off of Nvidia from Tiger's N6600 256mb card. Needs smartdoctor using enhanced drivers just to perform same as my ATI 9600 XT 128mb card. Little pc differances. Me p4-1.8, her p4-1.5, both mobos same speed with 1 gb sdram. Hers occaicionally lcoks starting bf2, reset gets it going. rrrr. In future I look at ATI.
