I fixed tigerhawk problem by deleting contents of just the following, leaving the profiles folder alone : C:\Documents and Settings\Cam Gibb\My Documents\Battlefield 2\LogoCache C:\Documents and Settings\Cam Gibb\My Documents\Battlefield 2\dmp C:\Documents and Settings\Cam Gibb\My Documents\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\cache That's all i did and it solved the blue screen error about display driver and the join server error that i had modified version abd should revert it to official version. She gets as good fps as me. We should both be much better with much less lag and have lot to learn. Especially me. I so busy concentrating on map and everything else i have yet to notice much screen text. :thumbsdown:

well wolfy did the above advice work or what ? tigerhawk had same error as you after uninstalling my sf and installing her own from cd. mine was downlaoded to both pcs. she finally got the 370mb 1.22 full installer. after running that she gets blue screen error tryign to start bf2 or bf2 sf, saying display driver porblem. any ideas anyone ? this ea stuff is way more headaches then any other game in history i'm sure. that's why i look forward to next good game not from them but steam-sierra.

tried ea again... got 350mb/sec down ... completed ... atleast before this update bf2 and bf2 sf ran. just said wrong version when joining servers ... now her bf2 or bf2 sf won't start, gets blue screen error of problem with display driver... oy yoy yoy ... we guess no ideas here ?

frustrated... tac 90kb/sec download stopped responding half way thru of 350mb downlaod ... tried again ... same again ... went to ea like i should have originally ... got 190kb/sec download ... stopped half way, twice ... tired again ... same ... i guess tigerhawk is **** out of hope with this.

nevermind, downloading full 1.22 patch from tac at 90 kb/sec for 1 hr. is there an sf patch needed after this ?

wow, lots of views but no ideas ... i have to research then what exact version needed ... got in 1 reg bf2 server. kicked from other reg bf2 server for modified version.

hmmm ... after long load reassterize shaders process, into ta server, i got to join button, clicked, it said in popup i cannot use modified version, revert to proper version. ????? any ideas ???

hmmm... i think we'all using 1.2 bf2 ... anyway, her server list shows all green as well as tac. so i go in and test in minute for her.

So far on her pc i found this ... The sf cd installer is dum ... it detects sf anf bf2 already installed ... no option to reinstall, just play or uninstall, tried the setup.exe also. So out my sf goes ... reboot... defrag ... run installer ... here's the dum installer part ... it doesn't have built in detection of newer then date of sf release bf2 versions. it automatically says patching bf2 to 1.1... rrrr ... It's done and rebooted and defragged. i go check it out.
