The browser owns displays a handful of the real amount of servers out there. They listed the browser as being upgraded in the last patch but apparently it was all back end fixes. It seems the same to me, hopefully we can get a full upgrade like the Battlefield browser soon.

They seemed to have ran out of keys for now, I'm not sure when they will give out the next batch. Most of Fileplanets betas are for subscribers only, which stinks, but I haven't really gotten a chance to check this one out yet.

Hmm that is weird, I know it was possible to create server side mods for Battlefield Vietnam, we were just playing on one the other day. I didn't know people could do that for BF2 as well, sometimes mods show up as ranked on the server browser also. We don't mind by the way

Cool, the server doesn't have an issue running once it's been jumpstarted, except for when it crashes, but this should make that a bit easier

It's supposed to put people in squads as a higher priority as people not in squads, but it doesn't always work. It will switch people some people regardless.

That's a pretty stupid excuse not to buy it, one person's complaint story really isn't going to effect the millions of other owners out there. That guy in that article was trying to find something to whine about, come on now, give it a rest once and a while.

I do have a 360 considering my main gaming computer is an HP laptop at the moment, but I don't really play it that often. I mostly play Halo 3 with friends every now an then but I only have around four games in total. I'm waiting for GTA IV to come out, besides that I really don't plan on getting much else. This is a launch 360 by the way, I've never gotten the red lights of death considering it's well ventilated and doesn't get much use. I probably just jinxed it though, when I go back to school it probably won't turn on.

My apologies, I thought this was for Call of Duty. I'm not sure how many people we can get for 2142, I can see who is interested though.

Hi Firehawk, I did get the message from Gator, I was actually about to share it with everybody else. It sounds like a lot of fun, we enjoy scrimming/playing in leagues, I would have to see if we could get 20 players together on a specific night first. Many people have various comittments and it may be difficult, but if we picked a date I could put up a poll and see what kind of turnout we can expect. Unfortunately 20 may be a bit high as not everyone plays COD4, but we can definitely give it our best.

Consoles are limited to 18 players I believe.

If you played the previous quake games you will like it. There is a pretty steep learning curve, I don't really know if I like it yet since I haven't been able to play it much. One pro is that you don't need a disk in the drive to play. There's a lot to learn, figure out.

We actually had a mini Vietnam session the other night, it was a lot of fun.

You don't need a cd to play multiplayer, only single player.

Just to mention something, it's has little to no effect on any of the other servers. We theoretically have 4 cores and each instance is currently running on it's own core, I think fatty mentioned it a bit earlier.

I'll play on the server(s) we decide to put up regardless of what it is, but I gave my vote.

Another major update is coming for Quake Wars just in time for the holidays, you can see the lengthy changelog here. I've got to say, this company does have some nice patches, this is the second time they've made additions/enhancements to the server browser. Looks like they're adding some good stuff.
