I'm considering getting it for the holidays, played it on a friends computer and it was interesting to say the least.

Server was changed back, lets see if we can get it filled tonight. Biscuit had a good point, I forgot we tried normal before and it wasn't very successful, people would rather play elsewhere.

The issue here is, it's going to hard to fill up two servers no matter how tweaked out your configuration is. According to game-monitor, there are currently a total of 35,076 people playing with a total of 214,458 player slots available. According to a post on the official IW forums, the reason why the server browser isn't working is because IW didn't plan on being this sheer volume of servers available. It seems that we are tending to all play on one server anyway because it's a lot more fun, that doesn't mean we cannot rotate the server we decide to start up though. I have a text file with all the different server configs so it's relatively easy to change them, I put it to normal because there are those who do not like to play Hardcore mode, but it they prefer to just play on other servers when ours is up we can just switch to to Hardcore TDM so it's at least getting used up. I'm not going to change it until people give their thoughts/opinions here. People will get confused if the server is changing everyday.

Favoritism? I really don't think so, the only reason I've seen people play on the TDM server was because the hardcore server was down for maintenance. The original goal of having a second server was to please the people who didn't like Hardcore mode. Everyone here wants their own individual goals met, that cannot happen or we would have 10 different servers running. The problem with this game is that there are too many options, there isn't a "typical" server configuration/ Trying to please everyone is obviously something that cannot be done easily, it honestly doesn't matter how good your configurations are when nobody can find your server on the list in the first place. You guys figure out what you want to do and I'll do it, but regardless of what we come up with people have to commit to playing on it. This whole process is worthless if people do not play on the servers because they didn't get exactly what they wanted. I've seen people threaten me to play on other servers if such and such isn't met, that's not the way to get things across. If I see people aren't utilizing the normal server, I'll change it to the Hardcore TDM settings that biscuit proposed originally (I'm not a fan of normal mode myself). The reason why I changed did it last night because I was tired and everyone was just going on and on about things that needed to be done. I'm sorry if you feel that i changed it because he was a staff member, but that's simply not true at all. The polls were working out in the beginning, but people didn't play on the servers if they didn't particularly like the changes made. This change was not made in 3 minutes either, there were about 7 of us in vent and they are the ones who suggested it. It was just posted as a matter of formality.

You can find stats at cod4tracker, but it will only show stats from servers that have registered and allowed that site to collect their stats. Our servers should be setup to transmit stats soon. Make sure you put in your name exactly as it's displayed in game.

I tried playing the demo on my laptop and it was still really laggy on the lowest settings, I'll just have to stick to playing it on my roommates computer. I didn't get to finish the game but the graphics were just stunning, the single player was pretty fun. I didn't even touch the multiplayer yet, I've been satisfied playing COD4. I was hoping it would at least run on the lowest settings on my own computer, I was having this weird problem with the game not running in full screen. I set it to my laptops resolution but it still appeared to be halfway in windowed mode, I'm thinking that's what caused my problems.
