It comes with both dvd's you chose which one to install, I'm not sure how that would work though if you just want to switch to 64 bit.

Right now I would say 32 bit, I've had nearly no problems what so ever. 64 bit has driver issues among some other problems, I'm sure it will eventually be fixed, but 32 bit is the way to go now.

It's happened to me a million times, that's the way I've fixed it countless times. I log out of my account but remain in EA Link. I find the Northern Strike section, click preorder button and fill in the details with the prompt. It's worked several times for me.

Got it working again, just had to sit there for a little while and it kicked in.

I pre-loaded the Northern Strike booster pack and now I can't start 2142...I click on the shortcut and it goes to a black screen and hangs there. GG EA.

Today the guys over at Firearms-Source posted a nice media update. They acknowledged that they have been in alpha testing for a little while now and things are moving along nicely. They posted some new screenshots of some of the new maps they are working on. In case you didn't know, last week the team of Incursion Mod merged with the FA:S team. They also released a short video of some in game action, this video was made before that time so there's loads more things to see. I have to say it's looking pretty nice so far, hopefully they will expand the alpha testing soon or even release a public beta.
