  11. Ouch! Looks like that hurts, just a little.
  12. Hmm , might pick it up for the heck of it.
  13. Yuck! What I was wondering is why after all those shots, they were still alive.
  14. Well, I hope the Giants beat the Patriots. It probably wont happen, but I can hope. If it's a close game then I will be happy. Nothing I hate worse is a blowout!
  15. Yeah, and there are a couple of men shaving on the way to work also! lol. I'll take care of both. Well, the answer is yes and no. It's not what I would call risky. I would call it less safe in the middle of the road. But, really if I had to disable the car in the first place, it probably is a lot safer anyways. To be honest with you, if I'm chasing a car then he isn't going to just pull over to the side of the road anyways. You probably are going to have more than one police car involved in a chase. Which means that the lane or lanes would be blocked off to make it safer for all. Also, when you stop a vehicle on the side of the road, you are supposed to leave your car half in back of the other car you are stopping to create a safe lane so I can walk up to the car without getting hit.
  16. I might actually have some time to play a little tonight. We playing COD4 or BF Vietnam?
  17. Yeah, it is here too, but that doesn't stop them from using it. They just wave at me while I'm in my police car. I smile wave back at them, then I stop them and write them a ticket. They dont smile so much after that. I wonder why.
  18. We definitely need them on our cars! I'm so sick and tired of the idiots that have their steroes up full blast, not to mention the ones that just have to talk on their cell phones. God forbid if we miss a call!
  19. Update: He's not doing any better. They let him wake up Friday screaming in pain. They had to reintubate him and sedate him until today. They are taking the tube out today. Unfortunately I'm working a double again so I can't go up to see him. Not that I want to after he was screaming help me Friday. It was the most horrible thing I've ever had to watch. They made him wait for 3 hrs. before they put him back under sedation. I'm a nervous wreck. His wife ended up going back to the hospital because she has a cracked sternum. She is back out again. We are all getting together and seeing who is able to give him blood. He is bleeding internally, has something to do with his lung and all.
  20. Update: They took the breathing tube out, and he was screaming in pain for 2 hrs. they finally decided to give him an epidural, however it took them another 2 hrs. to give it to him. The epidural didnt work so, they had to intubate him again. They are going to leave him under heavy sedation until Sunday. The guy is in jail in lieu of $100,000 bail. http://blog.syracuse.com/news/2008/01/two_felonies_leveled_at_man_de.html http://www.news10now.com/content/all_news/?ArID=132716&SecID=83
  21. My Chief from the college was in a serious car accident last night. Him and his wife were driving a Chrysler Sebring convertible when a drunk ran a stop sign at 50mph and hit him in the drivers side door. It threw both of them out of the car, and cut the car in half. He was laying under the trunk of the car. He has a broken pelvis, collapsed lung, broken ribs and a nasty gash on his head. They air lifted him out to the hospital. He was coming from a dinner we were having for the Skaneateles police department. The scary thing is, I was supposed to be in the back seat of the car! So, needless to say, I am thankful someone was watching out for me last night. I ended up working at the college an extra 1 1/2 hrs. so I couldn't go to the dinner. His wife walked away with some bruises and thats it. So, somewhere I have a guardian angel watching out for me.
