RAM was increased, lets hope that fixed it!

I have sent in tickets already and in contact with tech. Hopefully we will get the situation resolved quickly. I'll post back here again when the server is back up and running good.

It is ok to have another Armory CS:S server. Doesn't bother me any. We could have an ARMORY (=A=) #1 Kandahar|100tick and yours, ARMORY (=A=) #2 'custom name'. Sound good? Last week we filled the server and there were people messaging me asking if I could kick someone to make room, and I wouldn't do that. This would be an opportunity to redirect them to the #2 server, sound good?

Look at the server graph on game-monitor. It had people in the server, all night long! Holy crap! When I woke up there were five people in there. I am going camping leaving this afternoon and won't be back until Sunday. Dingchavez said he is going to hold down the fort. Help him out guys! The server is popular. You'll have fun playing here!

Arab, no its ok. I appreciate the criticism and I understand where you come from. I have considered completely removing its use. I am thinking that maybe I should reserve its use for Official Armory Server admins and Senior Council and thats it.

I would like to see this command used with more restraint. Overuse of this command can actually cause people to leave the server, but if this command is used right, can also keep people in the server too. Today, we had a full server for about an hours time. We had an admin come in and give cash to everyone several times when the server was full. The server isn't running any weapon restrictions so it turns into most people buying an AWP. We all know that AWP fests are not fun. I do not want to restrict weapons because I also feel that is not fun, even though I rarely use an awp. I also feel that giving out free cash too much makes the server into a 'noob' server, and it will lose some of its competitive appeal to the more experienced, mature players. Some admins feel that when other admins give themselves cash and no one else, that is also 'unfair', and I agree as well, however it is better than giving cash to the whole server and is a perk of being an admin. However the best admins rarely give themselves cash in my opinion. Also, if it really upsets you when an admin gives himself cash, just call him a noob I approve of giving cash to the whole server when there are very few people on, 10 players or less usually. This isn't set in stone. Sometimes you'll get 14 people on and they all want cash, so give it to them. Also, I approve of giving cash to a whole team if they are losing so badly. For instance today, the terrorist team had only 1 win, while the counter-terrorists had 9 wins. So I used the command and only gave the terrorists cash. The full command structure is, ma_givecash #t 16000 // gives cash to just the terrorists ma_givecash #ct 16000 // gives cash to counter terrorists ma_givecash #all 16000 // gives cash to everyone ma_givecash "steamid" 16000 // gives cash to a particular player I also want to hear what other admins feel about the use of this command.

The server is 4th most populated server in the city, and 87% in the nation, 85% in the world. Not too bad! I really want to thank DingChavez, WolfZero, Ifrit, and the slew of new regulars we have playing there.

Ok here is the latest in the Source server. There is a group of punks that call themselves ^5. We have already had to warn them several times about the bomb defuse exploit. So anyways, they challenged the armory community to a scrim. Little do they know but there are some all stars here. So anyway, I called upon good ole Slipwolf (CAL-IM and CEVO-I http://www.legit-proof.com/cal/search/?method=nickname&query=SlipWolf ). He is so good most noobs think he is hacking. But now it appears that ^5 doesn't want to scrim us now because we have a "hacker" on our team. So anyway, they don't want to scrim <TAC> now so we technically won! So rack up another victory for The Armory! :peace:

I was just taking another glance at it and I know it has been said before, but the Armory website really is awesome. The atmosphere is so great here, and everyone is like family. I like the random gallery pics that always show up in the corner, it is neat to see what shows up there. Seeing who is in vent is an awesome feature, and seeing the servers up on the top is great too. The layout and icons setup in the Gallery are cool to look at and makes it look professional. I haven't even messed with Arcade yet! There really is too much to mention. When I tell people to come check out the Armory website, I am proud!

Ifrit, if it is in the game, it is probably legal in our server. On some things we just have to make a jugement call. This server is about fun play. It is a popular server and we don't need any admins ruling with an iron fist. This is just a particular issue I have a problem with because like Sneaky said, it is extremely annoying and it actually hurts a players ranking. I only slay because of it and give a warning and have had to give a temp ban once. One particular member of the ^5 team got a 2 hour ban when he did it. He did this to me, so I slayed him next round. Then he quits and comes back so he can play that same round evading the slay. So then I slayed him again, he did it again, and this happened a couple of times so I just banned him for a couple hours. Then a whole argument was brought up by his team how it isn't illegal. And if their team left the server, our server would die and we would lose all our players, some BS immature arguments like that. I said it is not allowed, end of story. I urge discretion with all admin abilities. People do not like to see lots of admin abilities being used and spammed, it is just annoying. Even ma_say can become annoying if used too much. Some members of the ^5 team are a problem bunch, but for the most part they are decent guys too and definitely good at the game. So you can give them a hard time, but they are for the most part fairly loyal to our server. They just need to follow the rules and allow fun play, that is all.

To put this issue to rest for people (*cough* ^5 team) who say this is not an exploit, bug, whatever. This is directly from the steam forums. Defusing Issues Defuse kits and smoke grenades places on or in close proximity to the bomb can interrupt the defusal. Other players can throw HE Grenades, Flash grenades and smoke grenades into the defuser's head and interrupt their defusal. Fishes in the pond on de_inferno can interrupt the defuse. Players can also defuse through solid objects (such as walls). I will slay for this violation and give a warning. And if it continues, you will get a kick and/or temp ban. Don't test me! This is an exploit of the game therefore you would not do it @ OGL and so it is not allowed in the Armory server!

Ding, you can restrict the AWP whenever you want, it is in your menu. However I feel sometimes when the mood is right in the server, everyone is awping and having an awp battle and it is fun. But when a team of awps is destroying the other team, I agree that its use should be limited.

WOW! The server is now 70th percentile in the nation, and 80th percentile in the city the server is located! Not bad eh? Seems like there is always someone in the server now

At cs_italy, on the counter terrorist team we were dying a lot. Gator noticed we were rushing in too much, so we started to stick together and wait for them to come to us. So we picked them off one at a time until we could make a rush for the hostages and we started winning again Also, I dont know what dingchavez is doing, but he all of the sudden got good lol. He was leading his team in kills most of the time! I am playing on my laptop, but going home today on my real PC rig, so tonight it is on for reals Also, with the new server settings I am using, if there is no one in the server and you join by yourself, someone will typically join in under 5 minutes. Don't believe me? Try it yourself. This server is on its way to become real popular. For a new server just 4 days old and to be filled at 6pm MST (albeit filled for only about 30 mins) is not bad. Our last CS:S server I don't think was ever filled. People are starting to notice our server. So mark my words, join up and give it 5 minutes. Someone will join in with you Also if you look at the server stats and graphs @gamemonitor, you'll notice for the majority of the day yesterday, there were 4 people or more in the server, even in the middle of the night people were playing when there were no admins or (=A=) members on! Our server is already in the 65% percentile, and in the 70+% for the city that the server is located (Dallas). I might even have to start considering slot reservations if it keeps getting filled at prime time. A fun way to play I noticed yesterday too was to restrict awp, and both semi-auto sniper rifles and to give away 16k cash to everyone. So keep that in mind Armory SC please. It has to be set for every map and it is easy to do. Just type in admin in console or @menu in the chat screen, and restrict those 3 weapons. Then in console, type in "ma_givecash #all 16000" and do this every couple of rounds. This keeps the one shot one kill weapons away.

You mean the thermal conductive paste was too sticky and caused it to crack? That sucks man! I have always wondered about that because the last cooler I changed took quite a bit of effort getting the heat sink off.
