What's the point of using silencer in this game? Doesn't make much sense given the free for all multiplayer.

If anything my only criticism of COD4 is map size and I think there is an increased possibility of burn out from this, but who knows the game is still very new. To combine a battlefield style game with this engine would be sweetness, and I am convinced that it will not come from EA, as they are committed to mediocrity.

Yeah the game is pretty sweet, plays a lot like far cry hopefully multiplayer is decent but I'm not holding my breath on that.

hmm as far as quake goes its not a quake game per say, i mean it plays like one (kind of) but its not like the TDM or CTF of Q3 for example. At the higher levels those games are a tightly controlled pure competition of timing and control of spawns. This is like a melding of quake ideas and gameplay physics with a BF style objective based multiplayer.

I like it, its a refreshing change from 2142. Feels good to play it, but maybe thats because i am from the quake school :klinked: Like people have said before just a bit of a learning curve, and the game was definitely built from the ground up for cooperative multiplayer.

I flew with this dude who somehow got a new Macbook Pro for $200 through that kind of stuff online. Apparently it took much finagling and months of hard work to get it but he had it. Go for it man, just fight for whats yours if you win.

Well the xbox360 is already pretty much a PC so porting is not difficult. I'm just tired of the bugs in EA games, clearly they just crank out game after game after game with little or no regard for what is already out. As a business I can understand the reasoning being that the BF2 or BF2142 franchises have sold the majority of their copies and are into the mature product stage where there is little return left on investment. So why dedicate programmers on fixing those bugs when there are many new projects to be done? Now as for bad company I can see them porting it from a console to the PC, with a lot of bugs that come with it and after a pity patch they will turn around and call it done and start working on whatever else they have lined up. EA needs some good competition to get them back in line, lately they have gotten lazy.

I think they will fix it eventually, at least thats the idea. Unfortunately they have a ways to go before its at the usability/performance level of XP. I say another two years. By Then we'll probably required to use it for some reason or another, hopefully it'll be straightened out.

Go Bears! :thumbsup: I was in the Indianapolis airport right after they won the superbowl and they have a sports hat store there. I went in and asked if they had any bears hats for sale and the guy looked at me like a was crazy.

I use kb and mouse although I am never any good at it.

I think its just bad coding, you can pod out of an APC or titan and drive your pod and EA didnt spend enough time making sure you couldn't do the same thing on beacon drop.

got the 360 version, PC isn't new enough to hack it as well as the console. Just load up the demos and compare, easy way to decide. Awesome game btw!
