Fileplanet has subscriber-only beta keys for Crysis. Luckily I got one today and am currently downloading the client. I can't wait to see what it's like. *Edit* And please don't ask me about it because there is a non-disclosure agreement

The NEW apple thread!
My halloween costume a few years ago consisted of me in a tacky suit, noose around my neck, and a nametag with "Chad". For those of you getting worse, don't worry, I just paid this elite team of Chinese hackers $200 for some Apple Hacks (not a cereal, but we're negotiating marketing terms). I'm going to be the Supreme Apple Commander Elite in no friggin' time!

Desktopography

sniped by the anti-vehicle gun
I can tell you how I use it...quite effectively I might add. I use a logitech G5 that I use for gaming and when I enter the turret I adjust the sensitivity to its highest setting. This allows me to move it quickly when not zoomed in and to track moving targets when zoomed in. The greatest thing is it KILLS the person and makes a difference in thinning out a squad; then wait for one of the medics to run back to them and try to revive = hilarity.

Credit card stolen online
There is a lot of attention given to online "identify" theft and fraud, but much less attention is given to using your card in meatspace. I have worked in the service industry most of my life and I can say that it is just as likely to occur in physical spaces as it is online. That said, we should all be careful in any situation. I constantly monitor my account to help prevent fraud of this kind.

The Orange Box
I'm excited about Team Fortress 2, I never played the original. And portal, of course. Oddly enough, I'm not that excited about HL2 ep. 2.

G11 vs G15 keyboard.
If you've never owned/used a G15, let me tell you that the LCD screen isn't as gimmicky as it first appeared to me. I don't think the "G" keys are that useful, programmable keys are useful for sure, but in a game they need to be in a place where I can access them without moving away from my normal "wasd" area. The LCD screen proved to be exponentially more useful to me. As therobomega mentioned, there is a redesigned G15 being released and I will try to pick this one up; I really miss the LCD screen. There are a lot of useful applications for the G15 (i.e. a ventrilo app that shows you who's talking, you can change rooms, etc.) all without leaving the game to do it! Plus it works with most games that I have tried.

vista + 2142?
I am also running Vista Ultimate x64 with 4Gb of DDR2 and an 8800 GTS 320Mb. My computer runs incredibly well and I prefer many aspects of Vista over XP. I am actually dual-booting with XP on my laptop and desktop now. XP is faster on both systems, for sure, but I now prefer Vista as many things seem to work consistently better.

Word Up, Homies
You know, you might be better off purchasing the graphics card separately when you can afford it. You can get a 320Mb 8800 GTS for <$300 and that will handle even upcoming games. Excluding that, I'd get the 8600 GT as that selection might alter PCI-E power availability in the system (as opposed to the integrated). Of course, I am not certain how Dell handles the components.
