The colored vests aren't bright. They give no advantage in any dark areas. They just help people tell the difference between the teams. I used them when I started playing (in 2.65, when the M60 would stop those famas dancers with busted stems) I stopped using them around 2.7 or so, after I had to reinstall and didn't feel like messing with defaults again.

I bought HL in 2002, just to play FA. I will buy HL2 in a while, when mods come out that I want to play, and when the price drops. So yes, most people will eventually buy it, but not everyone will right away.

I got an xbox for christmas in 2002. I finally opened the box yesterday when a friend came over and brought Halo2. I still hate the goofy controllers, but the game is really fun.I really like using stealth mode, walking up to someone and poking them in the face with the energy blade :wink:
