Just to get this straight, since I am not the sharpest person around. This is for Firearms ported (and updated) to the source engine, and has nothing to do with Firemist Jungcursion or WaW, correct? The FA mods wanted the vbb license to take with them to WaW, but this is Ben's call since he owns the firearmsmod.com domain name and the vbb license?

The medals and badges that require tons of global hours are the "advanced awards" there are basic awards that you get from a certain number of kills in a specific kit/vehicle. The reason the gold level badges require so many hours is to keep people playing for a long time. It's a pretty slick idea actually. Without something like this, no new games will have the longevity of half-life, for instance.

Less discs. Most places around here sold out of the DVD version pretty fast, and none of them have restocked it. All that's available now is the CD version. Someone told me the DVD was a limited time release and wouldn't be available after the first ones sold out, but I don't know if that's true.

I will upgrade once my company pays for my licenses, I won't have a choice anyway.. I don't play mp3s on my gaming pc anyway, I have a media center machine for that, and it'll stay XP as long as necessary.

Yes, people have been getting out of hand lately. Sometimes admins miss things while playing, and sometimes they let minor things pass. Using this as an excuse for breaking rules when you know better just won't work. It really doesn't matter if other people say something worse, that does NOT give anyone the right to start swearing on our server. A little common sense: when in doubt, don't do it. You might get away with it once or twice, but you will start to think it's accepted, and you will eventually get the boot for it. Don't start complaining about it afterwards.

I've only played 2 times since BF2 was released, for a total of 3.5 hours. At the rate I am going (I have 97 global points now) it will take me about 30 more hours to get my first unlocked weapon, then 12.5 days of playing to get my second. I understand this is to get people to play more often (and probably play "better" than I do) but this is more than a little depressing. I am about ready to give up on ranked servers, especially since the "special" weapons aren't that much better anyway.

I was there when you were banned. It was a mistake, since nobody asked the player "fgt" to change his name, you shouldn't have been banned for saying his name. Your ban was removed minutes afterwards. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

I think this is a very good suggestion.

Smooth. Let it heal naturally (it will eventually) and the bones won't line up. Then you can play all the hockey you want, until you can't move the arm anymore. [/sarcasm] Go see a doctor, at least get it checked before you end up doing MORE damage to it.
