  1. I am a network/computer engineer for a billion dollar defense and intelligence contractor. I am responsible for keeping close to 200 Windows, Linux, Solaris, and HP-UX servers up and running, but I focus mainly on really expensive storage area networks, playing practical jokes on users, and sending weird web sites to the other support types in the company.
  2. I would love to see demos from your sniper guy, he was amazing!Very good game, I even got a chance to practice my AK-74 skills
  3. Perhaps, but I hadn't seen it. Thanks for hording all the gaming knowledge. lol, i told you in ventrillo actually, twice Wow, nice! Stop picking on Carl, he's just helping out us "connectionally challenged" people I should have broadband again tomorrow, woo!
  4. Now now, don't pick on the guy with no internet connection at home! B-Cell, if you read this, I am still waiting for your resume.

Interesting, a search for "Laughing Fat Man" turns up the Japanese god Hotei "Laughing Buddha"
  7. Nice sig.Is that me you were smacking in the head?
  8. He gets mildly annoying when he spouts on and on how the airforce can win a war without any help from the other branches of military. The stories are interesting, but the preaching has to stop
  9. Eric Flint and David Drake's Belisarius series is my current favorite.I also like some of Dale Brown and Harold Coyle's books.
  10. I REALLY like this one!
  11. Please, no political sigs, thanks.

  13. You probably won't read this, so it's more than likely I am wasting my time responding.I'm sorry your post was deleted, I didn't do it, and I wouldn't have even if I had seen it. I am sad to see a few of you leave TAC, but then, if all you want to play is JO, then this isn't the place for you.As for the reasons you left:1. You don't know what "officially supporting" a game means, and you decided not to ask. TAC never "officially supported" JO because TAC can't afford a dedicated server. That's all "officially supporting" a game means.2. Your impression of Gator's behavior on Ventrilo is based on one sided accounts of what happened, posted by people that have been prepared to leave TAC because they knew JO would never be an official game anyway.3. You were sponsored into the clan by the same people that decided to stop being part of TAC when they went completely to JO, and some of them haven't even been part of the clan in anything but name for more than 6 months. Several of these people knew there was a SC meeting, but chose not to show. It's regrettable TAC doesn't want to "officially support" Warcraft III, Doom 3, etc also, but there's no clan rule about playing a game that the clan doesn't "officially support"
  14. I started soon after 2.65 came out. Never played the earlier versions, and don't really have any interest in them. I loved breaking legs with the M60 in 2.65.
  15. It's supposed to download a "locked" copy of HL2, so when the game is released, all you need is an activation code to play.
  16. The BF games are NOT FPS games, they are "Action" games. They aren't intended to be the same type of playing style as HL type FPS games. I personally feel they have a lame infantry feel, but the vehicles are really fun. (I just wish I could fly) FA is dying out, it has been for a long time now, and the player base is shrinking fairly fast. We will need a new main TAC game with a server, but I feel it's way too early to start planning on standardizing on a game that hasn't been released yet, no matter how excited some of us feel about it's possibilities.Yes, I play FA. I am not going to traipse off and play NS or DoD or CS or anything other HL mod. I bought HL to play FA, and when FA goes, I will never run HL again. I also bought BF:1942 to play DC, even though I didn't like it. I did enjoy playing in DC CAL, because I like to compete with good people, against teams that play well together. I bought BF:V, and it wasn't much better, because of the overpowered aircraft and the same goofy infantry movement. I played PoE, and while it is very DC like (because it has desert maps, and because it has modern vehicles, and because it has the same, or slightly updated engine) it has the most potential of the entire series. The aircraft aren't so overpowered, and they added different types of rounds to some of the vehicles. Some people will leave the clan no matter what direction we go. We started as a FA clan, and when we started up DC, people joined the clan and that was all they played. When we dropped DC, people left. Now it will be the same with BF:V, JO, FA, etc... If we have people in the clan that only play one game, and we, as a clan, don't "support" the game, then those people will go find another group to play with.I think we need to focus on just one game (doesn't matter if it's BF2, HL2 mods, JO, whatever) and not do this "new game of the month" stuff, and end up losing people that join the clan only because of that game. Now, back to drowning my sorrows in the last of the twinkies...
  17. Call 911!
  18. pepsi < muddy water
  19. Enough Mountain Dew can fix any problem
  20. So, what you're saying is, PoE! >~ BF:V > DC In a very rambling Sam.Gen kinda way...
  21. I noticed this also.. Last night, I would put my trusty crosshair on someone's head, pull the trigger, see blood splatter, but their health wouldn't change (I use med, and I look at people's health as I am dying  ) Not sure what's up, but it not consistent. Some nights I can tag people in the head, full-auto, while running and drop them with 3-4 rounds. Other nights, like last night, the ak-47 with nomenclature couldn't seem to take people down in 2-3 clips. I know I don't have great aim, but I know I am good enough to kill 1-2 people before having to reload, not reloading 3-4 times per kill

  23. Wait, HL had a storyline? It was a full game without Firearms? I only bought HL because I saw some friends playing FA. Never played anything else. I don't even really like FPS games either...I'll buy HL2 after some decent mods come out
  24. It has, the match is tonight. Stay tuned.
