To get a repair point from fixing a vehicle, someone has to be inside it. Another way is to fix the UAV/Satellite/Artillary. You need 10 kills in a round while using that kit. You could be an engineer and kill 10 people while driving a tank, and it will count for the engineer kit badge.
  2. Of course, but remember how smooth the BF2 demo was, and the game since then has changed quite a bit. Mostly good, but some bad as well.

  4. Same engine, different game. There should be a demo released before the final (hopefully without bugs this time) game. From what I have seen, this is what I always wanted out of the Mechwarrior series, but we'll see how it goes. I don't have the lung capacity to hold my breath anymore

  6. This looks sweet, if only they had done this in BF:2

  12. My k/d ratio stunk, but over the last couple weeks, I have managed to crawl up to 1.24 it's not hard, even for us old people I am working on my win/loss record now, but whenever I try to go for a certain badge, my losses go up (even though I still get more kills than deaths)

  14. So that's why I got the Golden Scimitar tonight. Interesting.. the number of wins was also reduced (used to be 500 wins) I think I have 220 MEC wins. Also, I've been trying to get Veteran Explosives, and I've done at least 3 rounds of "rushing claymore assault" and gotten over 23 kills, but no badge yet. I am getting annoyed. The last time, I had 26 clay kills in a round

  18. I build redundancy into every server I set up, so I rarely have to worry about mistakes. At least, I usually find out about problems before they happen so I can fix them before the boss finds out
  19. Mitsubishi has worse quality control than the American car companies who have all their assembly plants in Mexico. (The main reason I can't bring myself to buy anything American.. The Japanese cars I like are actually made in the US.. imagine that..) I used to really like Mitsubishi's cars, especially the 3000GT. I had a '93 3000GT VR-4 for about 14 months, until the engine started to go south, and of course, no warranty coverage. I'll stick with Acura and Lexus until something better comes along.
  20. As a certified anti-air specialist, I can say that while the planes/helos are much easier to shoot down, they are NOT "useless" I was playing a round of Dalian Plant where nobody on the Chinese side could bring anything down, and not for lack of trying. The US cobras and planes would smash every fixed antiair site as soon as someone heard the lock tone, and that caused complete disorganization in the Chinese anti-air system. Flying is still a major part of the game, and while it's not as easy as it was before, it just keeps the average pilots from getting massive scores at the expense of the mud-thumpers who are trying to cap flags. The better pilots will still "own" while flying.
  21. I am not saying "it's safe, let's all go play in powdered rat feces!" I am saying this story is a hoax. Use common sense in how you handle things, and you have nothing to worry about. Just don't freak out if you get an email saying:
  22. http://www.snopes.com/medical/toxins/raturine.asp There's so many of these stories floating around in email. Very few of them are actually true.
  23. Ugh... I have no icons on my desktop. I can't stand having anything there. It looks more like a "Junk" to me
