As many of you have have prolly noticed, i have been a very bitter, rather whiny person over the past few weeks. As a matter of fact i have a suspicion almost all the TA regulars have muted me on voice com. Things werent helped by the release of 2.7 which threw out all my meticulously accquired skill with its "weapon balances". Even worse that everyone can use the SAW to give haircuts even though my tests have indicated it has less accuracy than the bizon. I digress. There are a number of reasons why i have been in a horrible mood lately, including school, girls (or lack thereof ), my own sad insecure life, and colleges. I expect things may have to get worse until they get better and as such i apologize in advance for any future malcontent and brooding darkness. Things werent helped when i got my report card today only to find that someone in the english department played a cruel trick on me. I had been told i was getting a A, HA!, i found a B+ in the spot for AP Language/Comp today, lower than even my previous marking period's grades. Since my parents are the most anal retentive ppl in the world on the subject of my grades, there will be hell to pay when i get home. The most ironic part is that i was expecting straight A's this marking period for the first time in 5 years only to find that english was down to a B+ and cisco and MCSE classes were down to A-'s. This may not sound like such a terrible thing to some of you but my parents have told me before that they know i am capable of straight A's and so the pressure is a lot higher than for others. Of course grades are really the most impersonal of my problems and the only one im really willing to share. So there we go, thats a small part of why i have been an ass of late. Hope i can go back to being happy again soon

i want you all to know that even though i didnt like the guy (i was on the server when 2 admins caught him cheating months ago), i NEVER to my knowledge openly said anything to imknives on the server, ever. Yes i grumbled about him using team talk, and on certain parts of the forum but i never openly antagonized him. That would be fire not worth lighting. Im not the one to start a fight with ppl. So while i am still glad he is gone i have nothing more to say on the subject. If he comes back ill just have to take it like a man, i promise i wont whine about it.

some one PLEASE tell me where i can find a comprehensive weapons change log for 2.7 The FA forums are hard to search through and i havent found one as of yet.

i did some testing on a lan game i made last night and it confirmed my suspicions. The SAW is as accurate (and as recoiled) with bipod as it is without it when proned. Therefore, having the bipod down is actaully a negative as there is no real accuracy increase and you cant move. The M60 seems a little less accurate though i am grateful for that as the half there bipod code of 2.65 made the 60 a sniper gun. At the moment im still giving FA a A-, though i would pay to find a complete list of weapon changes since they didnt feel like putting them in the changelog. If anyone at least knows SOME of the changes i would like to see them posted

sigh, this isnt a thread on L337 speak. Mainly because leet gets irratating after about 2 minutes. I use leet speak to satire it and make ppl see how stupid it sounds and looks like. That was one of the purposes of the pic i posted

hmmmmm i actually am enjoying the new M60 model, looks a lot more beefy and is 1000% more accurate than the SAW.

ok, true dat. In retrospect ur right, the m82 really hasnt changed to be n00b cannon. Before 2.7 i always thought the m82 was the most perfectly balanced gun ever in a mod, and i guess i can keep thinking that even now in 2.7

Well, i was playing 2.7 toady and i have a few choice comments.1) they needed to list the weapon changes, "too numerous to list" doesnt cut it, my "feel" for the weapons has been thrown out of wack by some indistinguishable wep changes, I need to know them so i can compensate.2) THE STICKY BODY BUG IS STILL THERE!!!!!!!!3) the helmet bug seems to be in reverse now, several times i have popped guys in the head (blood and all) with half a clip plus rounds, and they havent died. I've also noted a lot of shots hitting the head but not even registering?!?!?!? Please dont take this the wrong way, i have been testing it since i started playing 2.7 3 hours ago, it seems pretty consistent. I get most of my kills from headshots so Im a good judge of whats hitting the head and whats not.3) M249 SAW = CRIPPLED I tested it, even with bipod the gun is less accurate than any other weapon, even at <50 ft. Perhaps im not going "cyclic" correctly. If im not someone please tell me how to do so.Elsewise the gun has had a severe injustice done to it by the moaning and groaning of a bunch of ppl who think all guns were created equal. They arent, I've seen the real SAW used as an assault rifle its so accurate, even at a slow gait or crouching. If ppl think the SAW is a "whore" weapon, they should try the MG's in DOD. They are very true to their real counterparts which means they are some serious firepower when put into stationary bipod position. The FA team should have taken a page from the DOD designer.4) M82 = AWP woohoo, now everyone is going to prone up with the barret and we is going to have a snipefest on everymap but iwojima.5) Golan = best map ever, but needs improvement. This map has just a few too many routes and a few too many spawn camping areas in the woods and near spawns. Other than that, hats off the deisgner for a sweet map indeed6) statement of thanks: Here is my contructive criticism, some ppl may disagree, and i WANT ppl to prove me wrong as i truly want to like 2.7I mean, its not so bad as im going to not play FA ever again. Indeed it is a fine release with some much needed polish and refinements. Besides they (the FA team) must be doing something right for me to be so addicted as to play hours a day. So to you guys, i say thanks! and please, please, fix the sticky body bug

Lets see...back in the sands of time i played the CS betas almost 24/7 (before h4x was even a l337 saying), I played as Sahdowknight cause it sounded cool, then i played as DEFCON(for the governments defense condition ratings). Than i joined a very TA like clan called EGO (good times, good times, we were top rated OGL). After the clan dissolved about 2 years later i played as defcon in all the early FA RC's. Being a man of the world i played DOD as well, with the name Audie Murphy (most decorated soldier ever in the US). In late 2002 sometime before joining TA (having taken a sabbatical from FA and other HL mods) i started up FA again. I chose the name Flak Magnet as I knew my lack of skills would most likely make me mere cannon fodder. Now my name comes from the fact that i have an uncanny ability to trip mines and attract M79 headshots as well as frags and steels. In DOD my name is Met My Maker (I die A LOT, stupid unbalanced nazi weapons...), in NS I am "Whats that Sound? Uh Oh" (i die a lot in that game too), and when i feel like getting killed by hax0rz i play as "A Red Dot on Your Head" for 1.6 beta and "Introverted Loner" (cause i am in real life, i love solitude) in 1.5. And so, that is the saga of my HL heraldry...
