nononono, u dont understand. I want to caputer video and audio from a HL game and use it to make a movie. As far i know, a combo of HL tools and video editing tools is the best way. However, the HL capture methods dont record sound i dont think and so i am looking for a way to get BOTH video AND audio from the game

whoever said FF deaths were already higher than GW 1 is very very wrong. WE lost at least a hundred to FF in GW one, as opposed to 2 right now. Besides news is just in 500+ iraqi KIA in last tw days, and thats not counting the first 3 days of the war (including shock and awe) so multiply that by about 2 or 3 and we get like 1500. 1500 for 20 or so aint bad. Further, our forces are farther along than the forces of the first GW. All in all our forces are kicking mountains of asses and have taken a ream of paper worth of names. the war is going extraordinary, take what the media says with a rock sized grain of salt. Further, dont even listen to the foreign media, completely disregard it. Morale is essential, and listening to lies wont help.

im talkin about making a movie using the makemovie and startdemo tools in HL. Neither of those record sound i dont think. Therefore i need some kind of audio cpature device

Im looking at making a day of defeat movie (historical relevance will offset violence) but the trouble is, all the tutorials indicate that going about doing this will be a pain in the butt. I know how to record demos and movies and could easily learn to use windows movie maker and make HL movie files into .avi's but i still have some headaches i need help with. 1) sound, how do i get it? is there a software screen/audio capture device i can run in the background? Total Audio sounded good but i cant find a cracked version of it.2) I have adobe premier and could learn to use it if i had to but it sounds painful and i would like to keep the movie simple3) anything else i have missed, excluding size restraints, i can handle large uncompressed files

I see where you are coming from, and to a point agree. Where i think our path diverges is at the Saddam point. The UN has proved impotent, especially when it comes to bringing anyone to justice (7 years for the iron lady, HA!). Besides, the war has revealed 2 things saddam had and was hiding (in plain sight i might add), scuds, AND a huge ass chemical weapons facility. I agree that the new Iraqi government should be self-determined (maybe a democracy, maybe not) though i should look into that constitution quote, as i didnt see it when i perused it for history.

BTW laxton, i would seriously edit that post as well, theres no way to say it gently, but you are indeed being a typical "ignorant American", while what you say is true to a SMALL degree, a lot of ppl have a genuine and sadly legitimate reason to hate the US. Also, some ppl really believe that govs like that of iraq are good as they have never experienced any other type of ruler but depsot.

BTW, the more i think about it, the more i respect the argument that governments shouldnt send troops against the will of the people as you mentioned above. My father fought in GW 1 and he still has a respect of sorts for the iraqi soldiers who are actually brave enough to take shots at M 1 tanks with AK 47's. Meanwhile we give aid, food , shelter, and comfort to about 8000 of their troops. I found out why America is universally hated, becuase the international media (including America's) is full of crap, and lots of it. Dig this, Pakistani newspapers are saying the US nuked Baghdad, yes NUKED. They even had nice photoshopped pictures to go along with the headline. Even further, BBC(!!!!) is reporting that the US is targeting civilians on purpose (why we would do that as "liberators" is beyond me). this thread is for the UK (and by proxy good ole australia). I extend my thanks for sticking with the US too. The british are great peeps, im going over there this summer for 3 weeks and i hope i can reciprocate the friendliness. As far as I know the polish people, the germans, and most of the rest of the world hate our guts. Heck we have even been labeled a terrorist state, and if what we are doing is terrorism than I guess I'm a terrorist sympathizer.
