I applied for the beta but didn't get a key. Was my beta spot reserved? FilePlanet is screening all users registering for the beta. Keys for the first round of the beta are VERY limited and only a few people will be able to play in the first phase. Those keys are on a first come, first served basis. If you received a key, you were one of the lucky few, hardcore members that got in the first round of the beta. If you received a message that your spot has been reserved, you have passed the screening but all the keys for the first phase are currently depleted. You will gain priority access into the next phase as soon as it opens on the Thursday the 24th. If you were thanked for pre-registering for the beta and told that additional members will gain access soon, you are on our contact list to get in the second phase which starts on the 24th.

I signed up and it said I was accepted, and now it says I have to wait until a slot opens up. What kind of BS is that?

Well, for one thing. Some were running the tests at 1024x768, which make a big difference. Some were runing the tests at a much higher setting, which will result in lower numbers, so turn your settings down to 1024x768 and see what reading you get.

Source: Planet Battlefield EA Spain has made an announcement saying that the 1.4 patch will be released Tuesday, August 15. We would like to thank everyone who participated in the 1.4 patch beta and provided feedback through all the various forums. The provided feedback and crash dump reporting was very useful in improving both client and server stability in this patch. We are also excited to present the new map "Road to Jalalabad" sponsored by Comcast as well as the new "No Vehicles" server option that will provide a new twist to the classic Battlefield experience. The 1.4 patch will be available on August 15th Also in effort to continue building our community support we are pleased to announce the first cycle of our MODLight event in which we will review the talented mod teams in our community. I can wait. I was very excited about it at one time, but multiple server crashes, crashes to desktop, red/blue bug, and cartillary has made it less attractive to me. :flame:

I voted for save our money. Everyone's been playing on other servers lately, so I figured we could continue doing that and just save the money.

I would tell you, but we can't say those things here.

When the 1.4 patch comes out, what should we play? I know this has been asked before, but we need to make our minds up real soon. Many things have happened since the last patch.
