They are using a Beta Authentication server (I think), and it will not let you log in with your "reserved" game name, so you have to create another "temp" name. I believe they will not let user keep their points as well, but I don't know for a fact.

I have no lag. Make sure your connection is set to "Cable" and not "T1" Also, be sure to play on the GER servers. The ones in the states suck and are laggy. It a shame we have to go to GEr to get good gaming.

BF2142 has a buddy list built into the Main Menu of the game, so you can easily find where your friends are playing. I have added a new "Profile" field to the forum that will allow us to add our game nicks/names. Please feel free to add your name in this post, as well as in you Profile field. My game nick/name is GAT0R (the "0" is a zero) You can add your buddy name here (at the bottom) You can see an example of my name here

The jury is out on deliberation, but I can tell you that I had a fun time playing it, and look forward to some more action. I think most folks will enjoy the game, but I wouldn't throw my copy of BF2 out of the window just yet. It is very cool though.

Yes, I had a blast. I also had 2 stabbing victims in a row (very rare for Gator anyway), and it was brutal (on my part). I got 2 sets of dog tags added to my collection. I also made 3 promotions (easy and fast to get) and got 3 unlocks. I chose the Squad Spawn Beacon. It is way cool, and when you spawn, a Spawnpod drops you in and the animation is awsome.

Sorry, but EA is Valve's publisher now :thumbsup:

It happened to all of us. They did something to their autentication servers I guess. Maybe the patch wll be out tomorrow.

Hi everyone, Someone uploaded a .jpg file to this thread called "Karkand 2.jpg" back in 26 February 2006. The file contained a Trojan virus, so if you opened the file, it may still be on your system. I just wrote them and requested a Beta key NOW!, or a full refund of my money. EA is directly releated to the Devil himself. I will let you all know what their reponse is.
