How long should we let the artillary marker stay "alive
I was reading one of the new changes in 2.7, and it said that the mortor is now set to expire after 300 seconds (5 minutes). Now, this is a varible setting that can be changed by the server configuration. How long should we let the artillary marker stay "alive"

2.7 is t3h sux0re
Finally no more whiners...Wonder what they will 'find' in this new release...... :roll:They will find something to whine about ...believe me. But now matter what, the Armory, as always, will continue to make all weapons and equipment the choice of the player...not the server.

How would you judge the performance of the new site?
As I said in a previous post, the reason I moved the website was because the pages were hanging. The new company we are with now is much fatser (to me anyway). I was always on the phone with them, and they just could not fix the problem 100%. Some of you may not have noticed the "hang" at the old .org address, and some of you may not have expeienced it. I was anble though to see that some of you had the same problem because as I did because you double posted in the forums. That was caused by posting a message, and nothing happened (it froze), so you hit the "Post Message" button again. Well the server got both of your requests and ended up posting the two messages when it had a chance. I don't think that will be the case here now...I least I hope. I believe it had something to do with the MySQL database at the old site, and not so much the network connection. Anyway,I am curious though as to how the new site is working for you.

Armory will turn 1 year old this month (April)
 :roll:You had to re-sign in. I spent about 20+ hours fixing the site, so don't feel to bad.

SORRY FOR THE DOWN FORUMS
These terms are typically used for.org = Organization.com = Commercial.net = Ran out of .com's and .org's lol We actually own the .com .org, and now the .netThe oonly reason I did not transfer the .org was because I knew this project world take sometime, and I did want to cause any interuption in service for anyone. So, while .org is running, I am working or the new .net in the background. I almost did not ge the forums to work. It had me scared for a few hours when it failed to work at first.

SORRY FOR THE DOWN FORUMS
I.ve been tranferring the forums to the new site. The forums you see now are located at our new site. I will tranfer the old web site over tomorrow. We have changed to a new provider and The Armory web site will be at www.fa-thearmory.netAs I said, the forums are located at the new site, but the web site is still at the ".org" site. For those of you who have added the forums to your favorites, you will need to make http://www.fa-thearmory.net/phpBB/ your link. I disabled the link to the old forums site as you can see. You can look at new site, but I have some more work to do on ot. The good news is is that the new site is much faster and does not hang like the .org site.Gator

Armory will turn 1 year old this month (April)
I'll have to research the exact date, but the Armory will be 1 year old this month sometime. After many dollars (both mine and donations) spent, hours upon hours of learning how to run a server plus maintain upkeep, a new clan, a web page, and whole lot of fun, and even some sad times, we have had many hours of fraggin. It would be nice if we had a celebration of sorts for this monumental occassion. If anyone has any suggestions, please let us know.

Just a quote by Colin Powell that touched me
I guess it doesn't take much to be a great Polish poet ehh? P.S. I hope the poet in question didn't stay up all night coming up with those thoughts.
