  1. Open GL can run stuff faster. Not always better looking though.Direct 3D uses the more advanced features of DirectX/Mircosoft. This is what helps the new cards make games look really good.
  2. y nOT.
  3. Just played They Hunger 1,2,3 the other day. That was an awesome free mod.

  6. It takes WAY too many shots to kill something in that game.My kids play it. I have too but clip after clip and they do not die.
  7. Well that will certainly do it.Better clean up that harddrive. Just b/c something is made for going fast/OC does not mean it will do it. fyi

  10. See here.
  11. The other possiblilty is your power supply. If it is not sending enough jiuce after it gets warm to where it needs to go. The CPU and Graphics card can slow up. Yes it can. A power supply failing to deliver will not always result in a Crash or Lockup. As Punisher described it is a marginal loss of FPS. Also DOWLOAD MBM here http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=204 Install, set it up, and check your temps and voltages. Report here.
  12. Now he will have no excuse but human lack of skill. Can't blame connection and computer anymore.
  13. Probably the CPU getting hot. They have thermal throttleing availible on some motherboards and thios could be activating.Check your CPU mount and to see if the fan is on. Make sure there is no dust obstructing it. Make sure it is mounted properly.DO not overclock the 5900XT if you are. Also if it is ram. Make sure your AGP Arperture is at 64mb and no more. Also try to have your swap file fixed at a nominal number of say 700mb at least. Check to see if both sticks are seated correctly.

Thanks to all that have given the ultimate. Thanks to all that have served, survived and been wounded. Thanks to all that have served and comeback to our great land intact. Thanks to the most recent heros. The 923 men and women killed, since March of 2003 in Iraq and October of 2001 in Aftganistan, till today. May the sun set someday whereby the world sees the end of the viloence causing these people and others to loose their lives.
  15. Naw let them suffer:)
  16. I have seen the memory usage and it is not even past 30% of capacity. Page file usage is low. CPU usage with both servers maxed out is around 70%. The bandwidth used is only 20% of capacity. So it is not server related at all. I would suspect Steam. I think 2.9 is fine by itself. I bet if we had a WON server with 2.9 all would be great.
  17. Only on Server #1.Mac
  18. We are running 3 servers now.All at 20 players to cut down on the amount of crashes. It is working and most servers are going thru more maps before crashing.IP's are as follows:67.18.3.226:27015 THE ARMORY I - FA 2.967.18.3.227:27015 THE ARMORY II - FA 2.9205.160.101.117:27015 THE ARMORY IV - FA 2.9
  19. Very coolNice JobNow where's mine Shotty?
  20. Recent findings indicate that the logs are NOT being genereated properly by HL/FA.It could be a reason why the servers are crashing. Not to worry we are on it.Mac
  21. NopeNever again.IRC that is.Did that and only got bashed for being in TA and being Macgyver.Anyhow. I was not really mad just posting what was happening. It was not fun to read a post like that after what went on this week.Mac
