Put the GF2 back in and try it.I bet it is the S3 causing problems.And by the way.Steam is a system hog now Mike.You really need to switch to open GL and lower your graphics all around.Mac

Have you d/l the latest video drivers?Direct X 9AUse Open GLIf you are overclocking. Turn it down.Turn the EAX sound ooption OFF.Turn the High quality sound off.Goto meduim quality.Turn everything down or offTry a new mouse.If it is a USB goto a PS2 to test. ,and vice versa.Got to go to work.mac

Also IF I go to the game first instead of the servers.. It wont connect to a server and it locks up.. I sometimes get to play for like 2 minute or so before it locks up but if i try to bring my console down itll lock up everytime ...... SO GUYS ??? HELP PLEASE

So you want to get a computer but pay monthly.Go alienware.

It picked up your cd key from a prior installataion is my bet. It resides in the registry.

When you install display drivers for Nvidia.The default antialiasing is set at 2.This means it can really slow down a slow to moderate system.Go to your display properties and turn off antialiasing.!!!!!!!Display, Settings, Advanced, The type of card "TAB", Direct 3d and look for Antialiasing. That is one way.Have fun.Mac

You are correct. With the full Steam installer you do not need HL. Just the cd key.I forgot.

I agree.Get the full Steam install.Then the full 2.8 FA install. The same for the rest of the mods.Steam was really hard to get working early on but it has gotten easier as you learn its quirks.If you have HL already installed in your comp. Make sure you have played it and the CD key is active.Then make sure it is updated to 1.1.1.0.The install Steam, Then FA, etc etc.

Oh man XP on that system.Make sure you have 512 mb of ram.

I have tried before with Rippers systemit is just too slow for this game I believe.The lag is not neccessarily form video.Turn off the sound and try "NO" sound online to see what that does.I believe Ripper has win 2000 right?It is a BX chipset motherboard.Just 4 years too old I think.The "NO" sound should give us a clue.mac

I had that problem too.Have you patched it properly both DC and 1942?.6f for DC and 1.5 for 1942

Sounds like a sound issue beleive it or not.Look at the DC section.

Delete your FA-thearmory cookie.logout.then log back in on the WEBPAGE.Should fix it.
