-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Macgyver mentioned this mod to me a few weeks ago, and later helped me get set up playing. Mac and I agreed that we should play this on the server sometime, so we will start playing it soon. This willl mean shutting the main Armory server down while the game is active. Its a modern warfare game that is a "Mod" (modification) of Battlefiled 1942, just as Firearms is a "Mod" to Half-Life. You must have a copy of BF1942, but the mod "Desert Combat" is a free download. StateCop helped me figure out how to get it up and running, as we played it on our server for about 2 hours last night. I think I crashed 5 helicpters and 12 planes. StateCop crashed into on one flight,...so I won't count that one. Yes, you can drive tanks, fly planes, and engage in ground combat... I tell you what Pun. I am getting TA-Rabid Chipmonks and TA-Rybos computer, which has a 800 Athlon and Radeon 7500, to tune up.I will let you know what it can do before and after I tune it.I am sure it is similar to what you have so it will be a good comparison. I do know it is not a Gateway or DEll but is a store bought one. They put in the vid card b/c the old one died.

Yes it is. It is more a system thing.I get bogged down at times in FA b/c of Steam. Pun you know what I have for a system.With the switch to 32bit color and some of the stuff Mazor added in to 2.8 FA. I do not know what the min best config is for 1024x768.The old FA used to be around a P2 400, a GF2mx or GTS, and a good efficient soundcard. Remember it was just a HL based game.Now all things are different with Steam.

the .6f is out for DC. You need it to play or DC will not connect and run internet games.It is 245mb big. The patch that is.
