  1. ME is actualy Great compared with the Bulk of an operating System called XP.XP btw has caused MORE problems, needed more updates, and had more issues than 98, 98se, and ME combined.ME runs just as good if not better than XP in most applications.
  2. #2 is a CD problem.Do the same.
  3. Anybodty with ME or 98 or 98SE try Doom out yet?It runs Great on My system.NF2 Mobo with an AMD Mobile XP at 2500mhz 220fsb 512mb or DDR. GF4 TI4200 128mb at 300core and 600mem.I am runnning the game at high quality 1024 x 768. Runs smooth but I know the FPS is hovering around the 30 mark. I cannot complain though. Looks great.
  4. SP2 Sucks from what I heard.2 guys at work. (Not gamers) Had their computers crash unrecoverally from SP2. One was a Dell and the other a HP.Go MS.
  5. Actually you should get a program that writes zero's on the drive so there is no info left on it for really prying eyes.
  6. Reformat then.
  7. Mac is AWESOME.But we all knew that.
  8. Yes you can play DOOM3 with WinME or Win98. Goto here and download the No CD hack. http://www.gamecopyworld.com/ Then Download the Win98 patch. Drop the NO CD .exe in the Doom 3 folder as well as the patch. Overwriting of course. Then goto the folder and click on the 98 patch to activate it. RESTART Have fun. Here is the ME/98 patch that I used.
  9. That Mobo has an AWESOME onboard soundchip. No need for a soundcard or a NIC either.Actually you want to spend more money on the best parts you can. Then when you start running out of space. Get another HD.Same goes for memory. Get 512 now of good stuff. Then add another stick when the money is there.
  10. Get this CPU http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=19-103-440&depa=0 Why? These are all UNLOCKED SO you can adjust the multiplier and get the maximinum CPU mhz out of your chip Mine is runing at 2500mhz STABLE with 1.75 volts. http://secure.newegg.com/app/CustratingReview.asp?DEPA=0&item=19-103-440 If not this one then this one http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=19-103-401&depa=0 Yes they will work with that motherboard. If you can afford this. Then get this for memory....... TWO Sticks of course http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=20-146-219&depa=0

  20. Nice crosshair Murdok.
  21. Most Dells at any decent price point do not have a AGP slot. They really cannot be upgraded much.Yes you could put in a PCI videocard but they really suck.So hence my posts reason for being here.Get this computer if you want a decent gaming rig.Where else can you find a 2 gig processor. 120gig HD. Burner. DVD. 512mb pc2700. Etc etc for $379 shipped.Oh wait. The 90day warranty is the same as Dells (At the lower end of their line ) unless you opt for Dells extended $$$$$.
  22. http://www.microexchange.com/desktops.jsp?ac=sr&ty=DTP&mf=ALLM&minisite=10101&respid=50404&wsi=934389&wvi=1299203&zed_prod_ses=j%3DIBE%3A4081%3AIBEGUEST%3AUS%3A%3AUSD%3ADD-MON-RRRR%3AJTFUCSS.CSS%3Ajtfpfalse%3Ajtfpi-1%3A671%3A50404%3A18191669%7Ezv%3D18191669%7Ezs%3Dt%7Ezed_prod%3D45C4CC44DCC98C18EADF8A2C96D3CE43%7Ezp%3D95049%7Ezo%3D2%7Ezm%3D10101%7Ezj%3DGuest%7Ezi%3D95049%7Eza%3D71801%7Ewsi%3D1023558 Nothing here Kami. The HP I stated above is still a good deal for someone that does not want to build or cannot build there own. Add the GF4 TI4200 I found for $58 shipped and you would have a rocking system for $ 440 shipped minus a monitor. But if you are reading this. You probably do not need one.
  23. This computer is better than a DELL at that price b/c you can put a videocard in it. It has 512mb of ram. It has a Burner and a DVD drive. Plus it has a 120mb HD.Do some comparisons and see if it worth while. It is $379 shipped. It will be as fast as a DELL with a P4 2.8. DELLS with these specs brand new are twice the price albeit you get a monitor.
