Look for air intakes/exhaust ports, apply firepowerVery effective on the huey gunship if you can hit the rear exhaust port accurately from behind... we're talking one AK-47 clip makes it smoke :PThe Mi-8 also has side exhast ports.... with controlled M60 bursts, 1 belt can take it below 3/4 life.Also, if the helo is on the ground, it seems to take ALOT more dammage when hit in the weak spots.

I'd like to think of it as an opportunity to spawn camp to great effect rather then think of it as a disadvantage.

This is why you need to pick up BFV.... nice lush jungles to take cover in, and good sniper rifles

What? The m16 is even more n00b than the m60 since is sprays so accurately when you are turning.I don't even have to aim the M16, just spray left and right across of a target's general location.

Heh, with firendly fire off, high explosvies really are kinda cheesy.... many times I've run around a corner or taken cover and alt-fired the time bomb. It blows up instantly taking every one out within 10 feet of me, you jut have to be careful of collateral vehicle explosion dammage

On Operation Flaming Dart, you'll notice that the spawn points that don't have a flag all have air towers near them.Eg: There are 3 on the US island. One for the jet spwan point, one for the heli spawn point and one for the PBR spawn point. If you blow up those towers, the spawn point disapears, and the vehicles no loger spawn.A couple of times when playing on the TAC server with average joe players, I've ended the map in 5 minutes by killing all the US spawn points on the island because the US side never bothered taking any of the flags on the mainland.

Naw, some of my higher scores have come from using NVA engineers....The M60 is a bit better than the MAT-49, but the law has nothing on mines and proper mortar use, both of which kill a tank in one shot. Yesterday I was number one with a score of 45-24-6 in Hue using the NVA engineer with 7-8 TAC players, so it wasn't like I was n00b bashing.The MAT 49 can easily be the second most powerful gun IMO if you use it like you would the SMGs from counter strike. There have been multiple times when I've taken on 3 people at a time and killed them all in one clip or killed someone at extreme range with the 2-3 controlled burst fire method.Also, a proper sniper ownz the m60 kit.... just watch statecop on LZ albany if he gets a good position, he killed me 10 times in one game and I never even saw him once.The only time an M60 totally ownz is against disorganized average joes who don't bother to conceal themsevles or take unobvious routes. I don't find it the end all uber weapon when up against a team stacked with our own TAC members, just a very good medium range weapon. :)If the law/m60 combo was gone, I don't think there would be 1/2 the complaing about the m60.

Hmmm, another thing... when friendly fire is off, the NVA bouncing betty kit can take them out very fast as well, since you can alt-fire the time bombs to blow up instantly without killing yourself. Do be careful though, the tower explosion does kill you when if finally goes up :)It takes 6 time bombs.... so you alt fire the 1st five, and then regular fire the 6th one to give you 10 seconds to get away.

What is really scary is that most of these games did cost $50 at one point, and I bought several of them like 15 years ago

You must uninstall the old drivers 1st with ATI drivers, otherwise key components do not get updated because windows has them locked down.

So uhh... since I'm new and everything, can someone fill me on on what the process is of starting the game? Do we boot everyone off, password the server and then join? What if there are too many TAC members... etc....

Except for the proven brain dammage studies... I think this one trumps all the others combined. Never mind the fact that you can still get lung cancer from it, just less of a chance than cigarettes, and the fact that like cigarettes, you disturb others with second hand pot smoke. How so? There would be an even bigger chunk of society that no longer does anything. You have to export for somthing to be making the government money, and that's not going to happen. All this would really do is shift money from the lower and middle class to [sarcasm]ultra efficient[/sarcasm] government corporations. Additionally, you don't actually think pot dealers are in this for a revoultion of freedom of rights do you? They are in it for the money. If you legalized pot, they would find somthing else illegal to suppliment their income on, there would be just as many people in jail, as it is the dealers and repeat offenders who go to jail, 1st time offenders more often get suspended sentences if they agree to community service and rehabilitation. :roll:

13 sticks of C4 will kill an NVA tower in operation flaming dart.Sounds like alot? Sorta, but the destroyable towers all have ammo crates around them, so if you have time you can deploy the necessary 13 charges all at once, and kill the tower in one shot.If you stay low, it can be hard for plane campers to see you :o

Count me in.... any idea on what map?We really don't have much large team practice together. We should all get together one night and think of nasty exploits to do on our enemy. For sure we need to practice a means of killing air towers quickly and early.
