  1. nice work... probably... since my wife broke the speakers 2 months or so ago i'm totally deaf while playing any game.... and I don't have a mic either... that's why I didn't attend to any ventrilo meetings, sorry guys. PS you know what is the worst of it? when I visit Ky, he torments me to death with his music. But I always could tell him that I heard his last arrangments via internet. Now he knows I don't have speakers....
  2. we can afford that sacrifice
  3. lawyer. currently in notary office (in Poland notaries are the richiest lawyers). I also co-op'ed with bombardier (transportation division). Hell, what a small world...
  4. cos nowego od Olgi?
  5. blue-boxed and photoshoped and about a beard: the tales said that the original Miyamoto Musashi didn't wash himself, so I doubt he shaved his beard.
  6. Do you mean T-Hawk changed the color of her hairs after that (above) picture was taken?
  7. Good stuff! Klink, you just answered yourself: Do they deserve their salaries? Yes, if someone wants to pay them...
  8. Impressive but could they beat anyone with wallhack or aimbot? No. Could they beat anyone with a 'proper' config? Probably not. BTW: a week or so ago there was an information that some Spanish team won a CS:S tournament (LAN) using an illegal config. Their rivals suspected that since the very beginning of the tournament and informed the judges but the last ones decided to check it AFTER the final match of the Spanish Team (they won the tournament, beating opponents 16-3 in Finals). The judges were (probably) too afraid to admit they were wrong since the beginning. They didn't want to change every single result of the Spaniards (who would play in Finals then?). So why bother?
  9. IMO the bottom line is: you cannot prove anything. Every thesis is built on a tenet. Every proof requires a presumption, example: "let's say: God exists", "let's say: 1=truth and 0=false" etc. As you see logic (and maths) isn't free of the 'superstitions', 'presumptions', 'things that cannot be proved to the end'. I've seen great definitions of substances that could be in two places at the same time, seems illogical? I didn't find it in Bible, though, but in the physics magazine. Why do you think that your tenet (whatever it is) is better than others? Why do you patronize? Be proud of being agnostic, leave the others alone, please. Why can't you? As a historian, I'm sure you know who said that there's no ultimate proof, so every 'truth' has the same 'power'. As of the 9/11 in Bible: 1. it's US-centric point of view. US isn't the center of the world, although 'Americanos' believe it is no offense here, really. BTW: isn't 'believe' a funny word in that discussion? AFAIK USA isn't mentioned in Bible. It's not 'the most Christian country in the world' (whatever it could mean) so why Bible should say anything about it? 2. Bible didn't say anything of (for example) the December 2004 Tsunami (more than 180.000 dead, more than 40.000 missing). 3. 9/11 wasn't the-biggest-catastrophy-made-by-a-group-of-men-to-the-other-group in the history. Think of I and II WW (Hiroshima included). Think of Pol-Pot's regime. 3. IMO 12/7/1941 (Pearl Harbour) would suit better here. It was an attack of the non-Christians (and Politheists) on the Christian country (then). It was a sneak attack ('sneak'-'snake' resemblance). 2000 dead. etc. etc. 2. AFAIK there were some major changes in calendar since then.
  10. I didn't play since November '05. I didn't buy SF. I have no energy to play more than 1 h/week.
  11. Probably not. He will sink that island in a sec using his lasers.
  12. After that I want some good polish joke!
  13. I just don't get one thing: my wife and me have tried and failed to explain him that he could go anywhere he wished. He always said 'no' and the bottom line was: 'who's gonna wash and iron my clothes?' but now I see different approach. GL, bro. You'd better think of Japan or Switzerland.
  14. SS6, IMO your answer should depend on: if you know her (if you have some info of her - name, fav. pets, bfriend's name etc. or you just know that she lives on the same floor), if she's good-looking (generally), what kind of a girl is she, if you like her and if she likes you (or you think so) etc. etc. So you have to use your reflexes and quick thinking. If you don't know her and you don't want to - don't bother about an answer or just try to be nice (as you did, in males opinion) and you failed. if she's hot and she's so-called party-girl you can use Baldrik's answer. In any other case that answer is (let's face it) bad. As you found out in the posts above, there are multiple answers to the simple (again, in males opinion) question: what do you think of that dress I'm wearing?
  15. I found the best comment of the XL SBowl here: http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=simmons/060206
  16. I thought you'd post the picture of that laser you're planning to use to break into Polish National Bank... And if you don't want to use it that way, please let me do it. IMO any scientific research should have a practical use. I think it's the best way to use that laser...
  17. congrats on your achievements i still have 1928 points. I don't think i will be playing soon.
  18. 1. it's great that someone invented internet (or was it self-invented...?) At least I know what my brother is doing 2. ky won't leave poland b/c he's afraid who would wash and iron his clothes then 3. AFAIK he isn't and won't be heading to US (my wife just came in and asked me not to reveal my brother's feelings ). Canada is a different place, but see point 2 above. The only way you could persuade him to go to US Mac is to invite him to John Williams concert and perhaps if you could just explain him that buying new PC in US is much, much, much cheaper than in Europe.
  19. And in the nba finals, what teams would you like to see?
  20. I still can't believe Pats had lost....
  21. I hope you're expecting the comments like that: HACKER!

Assuming that BTD and me were celebrating New Year's Day 6 hours earlier I wonder how can you be so sure that your post is 1st in 2006
  23. My wife and I, we bought a TV-set (finally). We said to each other it's our Christmaas gift (we bought it almost a month ago). She claims it was my idea to buy it, I'm convinced it was hers (she wanted to watch some sports on big screen). Though I'm glad that I have a TV-set, I really don't like watching TV. So I'm happy that I received a dvd player on Chrimstmaas eve. At least I can watch some movies I like. As for the rest of the gifts, they were as usual. It was the first Christmaas of my son, and he, too, like K-Town's got a lots of presents. He was much interested in tearing the wrap-papers than watching what is really inside (he's 8 months old). The funny part is we (my wife and I) didn't bought him a present. We just thought we could buy him anything anytime not during the prime harvest time for mall's.
  24. I like the smell of the pine-tree or fir-tree and handing over presents. Most of all I like giving the gifts to my wife.
  25. BTD, you should rather send this question to the east not to the west. So do you want a Dragunov? Ask any Russian or Ukrainian in Belgium. A couple of years ago Russians offered ak47 plus a bucket of ammo (aroung 1500 rounds, they were not precise in that matter ) for the reasonable price on one of the polish bazaars (dunno if it's the best word). Selling (and buying) any weapon without permission is illegal in Poland, mind you. B/c they couldn't sell it, they tried to sell NVG's. The same type that is used in Russian modern army. They couldn't sell it, again, b/c it was so good it was cosidered as selling an army equipment and it requires permission, too. They could sell worse stuff, but why? They thought that offering better equipment would help them find more customers.
