I can't believe that someone so tall can spend his time (unproductively) in front of his PC rather than practising new basketball/ volleyball plays. You (probably) won't earn enought money via on-line playing but you could earn a lot being a decent bball player. BTW (???!!!): HB Mage. And Mac you could learn them all to play bridge you got enough people to play it.

In your opinion- as a FA player, not admin- whether 'united' or FAL- did Andross cheated (I mean ESP, wallhax, aimbot, not his famous special config)? We may call it 'unoficial' opinion if you wish OK, I didn't know that, as you may noticed. Sorry if you felt offended for that. I didn't change my rate setting. I didn't know how (or what values it should be). The thing I've never really understand was why people didn't want to share their knowledge (not full knowledge, no). Did they earn money playing? No. Would they lose the respect (if they were worth it...)? No. Why no one said: download this crosshairs, they're great. Change this settings, it could improve your gameplay etc. etc. I asked many question. No one even bothered to give me an answer like: kiss my ***. Aim is aim- I agree, as I said- I improved from .6 to 1.85 (pub). So have I, but I prefer Civilization II and Heroes of Might and Magic III... I didn't participate in matches (it's difficult if you're not a member of a clan). I didn't meet anyone who would tell me how to play/ practice or what to do. Everything I learned, I learned hard way. I'm not a programmer who could see this game as the series of 0's and 1's and tell you where you could 'stretch' a game engine, a game itself, hardware or software. I don't even know if it's possible and how far you can stretch and what kind of stretching would suit me best. To me most part of the world is grey. Most part of the on-line world is grey. I like lots of people I've met on-line, but I don't like a 'world' we're meeting in. BTW: I am not a FxR Bounty Hunter. I'm just another guy.

The car companies: every company is now working in max 3-years circle. Every 2-3 years every car should be changed to 'new' ('new generation Honda Civic') or at least be renewed ('better halogens', 'improved breaking system', 'new line of design' etc. etc.). That system works in Europe due to depreciation (standard depreciation of cars is 3 years) and looks like that: your company wants to buy you a new car, you choose Honda Civic, after 3 years the car's value for your company is 0 (zero). They are ready to buy you a new car. if Honda couldn't offer you a 'new generation Honda' you would move to Toyota because they are starting to sell a new model of Corolla. As for the game industry- as you noticed above- a group of 100 persons working 9/5 (instead of 24/7 ) can create a game in a year. Every year there's lots and lots of games that can be 'revolutionary'. You can't stand behind because avid gamers would move from EverQuest to WoW, from HL to Quake etc. etc. if they smell 'better graphics', 'improved AI', 'interesting on-line matches against living and dead and undead'. Maybe they didn't yet find out how to do it, they soon will (maybe it won't be a game as NHL 2005/ 2006/ 2007- but Quake 2006/ 2008/ 2011). Side note (1): why do you need NHL 2005 and 2006 and 2007? EA could easily update rosters via 'bonus packs' or simply on-line (for money). Side note (2): can you believe that BF2 wasn't in the top 10 in Poland (according to some sources)? I doubt whether HL2 was top 10... BUT now, in top 10 you can find: 'Madagascar- a game', 'Barbie is going to a ball'. Did you know that the games like that existed?

And what is more important, the marketing departments of game developers can't stand the idea that someone could make their own game FOR FREE. IMO that's why they release the new versions of games (the same is true, for example, for car companies).

1. I'm not a member of TAC, Iso it can only be my 'personal' opinion- regardless of the TAC SC decisions, money spent on both servers, personal feelings of SC (they pay for their play) etc. 2. I liked FA and I like BF2. I could play FA with high ping on your server with good results, I don't know if I could do the same (play BF2) without major system/ hardware/ internet connection upgrade(-s) (BF2 is running smoothly on euro servers for me). so my opinion is: If you notice that during usual rush hours of gaming the FA server is empty/ not full/ half-full (it's up to your decision which option should be chosen), you can close it. If you notice that your members moved to play other games, you can close it. There are other options as: some part of your clanmates/ associates will still pay for the FA server; because most 'elite' players had left FA, the game would become interesting again etc. The last option shouldn't last long though- the HL engine became slightly out-dated comparing to new games.

You're absolutely right, but consider this: in Poland when someone tried to sue tobacco company for 'insufficient information that smokin leads to cancer', he was first laughed out then he lost at the court. In US, the people won in the cases of the kind. The same with McDonald's, Coca-Cola etc. First, get rid of the 'safety-belt is mandatory' and you will see the cases against car companies that they didn't warn that 'without a safety-belt you're less safe in your car in case of the accident'. So your US 'freedom' is limited by the useful idiots (a.k.a. well, we all know who they are), law and the lawyers and cowardice of the managment of the big companies (most cases are settled via bargain).

IMHO the answer is complicated: 1. I agree with Frost (if I understand him correctly...)- better connection= better frag. On euro servers I was top 2 ALWAYS. I got g36e headshots registered every time. I owned with knife only or knife+mp5k. 2. To the certain extent, I agree with Ripper- some guys are just good. I don't know if it's Sgoss or someone else (hop, andross, yaoi etc.). It's like if you and your friend are going to the army- you start at a shooting range and you got 30 out of 50, he's got 45/50 then you go to an obstacle course and you beat every one in the group. I think it's just like that. One just aims perfectly, one doesn't. 3. Sgossard- he deserves separate treatment . To me he was one of the biggest mysteries of this game. AFAIK he was FA programmer, CD developer and FAL admin. Give me that powers and I would be the best of the best. Personally I would give myself an ability to nuke a map once per round if I felt annoyed and permaban everyone who would complain about it . On the second thought, a perfectly aimed cruise missile would do a job. (side note: it's not I don't like him, I just don't understand his me-against-the-whole-world attitude. I think the so-called community split to Sgoss-followers- usually it means worshipers and Sgoss- haters. I stay outside of this black-and-white world). 4. When I started to play FA (2.6) I got a 0.6 k/d ratio. I didn't know any maps and any weapons. I used default settings (except keyboard config). I ended my career with 1.85 k/d ratio mainly because I changed player models, crosshairs and learn a bit of how to play (my aim improved, too). I didn't mess with alias (simple jump+crouch didn't work), rates etc. All stats were taken from TAC server. On euro's it would probably be better. 5. I think America's Army is much more a fair game. The crosshairs are ok from the start so you don't need to change it. I know nothing about the ability to create alias, changing rates etc. As far as I noticed everyone run the same speed and didn't have the superman powers like loooong jump, didn't have the abilities like shooting from the ladders at certain postion etc.

It's not exactly like that. For example: some abide the rule of speed limit because they saw their friend dead in a car crash due to excessive speed, some feel comfortable with the speed-limit, some doesn't think if it's right or wrong with the 55 mph speed-limit (maybe it should be higher or lower? they don't care)- there's a rule and you have to comply to it, some are too frightened of the all-mighty highway patrol that they wouldn't drive faster. Some of course want to fight with this stupid rule but they fail. The same is in China. Add to it that you take the speed limit rule for granted because your father has to comply and your grandfather had to comply etc. etc.

During my last business meeting with Chinese one lady asked me what kind of the governement regulations of birth-control we have. She didn't ask me if there were any but she presumed that we have the same birth-control that is in China (you can't have more than 1 baby) or at least that we have some sort of birth-control. She wasn't surprised that we didn't have any regulations of that kind (well, she worked for intl. company), but she wouldn't be surprised if we did have some regulations. The point is: they are used to it. They don't complain. They are well- organised country with well- organised people that's why they would rule the world I think we all should start playing as China forces in BF2 because it's our future.

I've heard a story of a Polish gal who studied something like 'business management' in US. After her second year she realised that everyone on her faculty is a son or a daughter of someone with a private factory/ firm etc. so she wouldn't find a job in US. She decided to change a subject and chose chemistry (her bf studied it). After 3-4 years of chemistry in Polish HS she could pass all the exams of the 1st and 2nd year of a chemistry at the American University. She started new year at the 3rd year of chemistry instead of 3rd year of business management...
