This whole preorder is becoming a fiasco. Mine better be there or I will SNAP. I will cancel it on the spot and get my money back and download it too. I have been reading other forums and they say that some people already have the game of 2142 full version. They say they got it at WalMart. Good for them, but now what good is that free promotion that you got from EB Games? Everyone else will be about 4 or 5 ranks ahead of you before you even start LOL. What a mess. EA should just reset all stats on Wednesday or Thursday and start everyone over. Unless, of course stats are not counted until official release time.

What do you guys think about the ingame advertising supposedly involved in BF2142. Will it slow internet connection? It has to read what's on our pc then send it back somewhere therefore using bandwidth. Will it invade our pc privacy? Is it a good thing for this company to know this info to make better games in the future or just to make more money in the future? Does it look at your files on your pc then advertise specifically for you. I.E. will it send you heaps of pron if that is what you have on your p.c.? LOL.

I feel for ya. I was going to the hospital for months for my grandmother and father in law. My father in law passed away 2 weeks ago granny is still doing fine at 96.. Lotsa visits stresses you out and all the worrying about them.

Some helpful Bf2142 tips from another site. A DICE rep (Demise99) frequents another forum, sometimes posting interesting little tid bits about the game. Was looking through them and figured I might as well make a list of them so here they are: ========================================== 1.Quote: A little known fact, when you've unlocked any of the advanced Hubs or Repair tool, the APC has a radius booster. So standing near an APC with a medic inside will heal you faster than standing near a Tank with a Medic inside. 2.Quote: Only the Zeller and the Defuser can get rid of RDX. There's a 3rd way to get rid of mines, but its no fun to give you all the answers. 3.Quote: Rounds fired from sniper rifles do not suffer damage loss over distance. MinimumDamage 1 is simply a default value left in the tweak file. 4.Quote: You quickly aquire a lock on a target and then launch the missile. As long as you maintain lock on the target the missile will track, it will even attempt multiple passes on the target should your target decided to get tricky and dodge. You can fire 2 missiles without reloading but you need both to destroy a gunship. 5.Quote: Without a lock the missile will fall back to earth slowly, it has no splash damage and is horribly inaccurate when not guided. You'd be better off with the SMG if you're trying to hit infantry. 6.Quote: Transport guns cannot shoot UP, only to the side and down. A Gunship can easily get above a Transport and shoot fish in a barrel. 7.Quote: if you are the victim of team damage you will wave automatically. 8.Quote: I spoke to our Scoring Designer. He informed me that you and your squad will be rewarded anytime you make a kill and either you or your target are inside the order radius. Snipers can make a great impact on their squad by consistantly picking of targets near the order beacon. 9. Quote: Airburst is the ultimate finisher. The grenade is not as powerful as BF2's m203, no 1 shot kills from full health. 11.Quote: You can send an ingame PM to someone on the server by tab, manage, and double clicking their name. 12.Quote: The Carbine can use the scope stabilizer, we changed it after Beta2. Don't know why you'd need it, but you can. 13 Quote: All hubs are standard kit equipment. That goes for repair as well. It lets the commander assist his team with an assault by forcing the enemy to scamble and be disoriented while his own troops advance. 16.Quote: The transports automatically drop you in a pod if you are a certain distance above the ground when you press E to bail out. You have some basic control over where the pod lands, but you are heading straight down. Its a super cool thing to see 4 or 5 guys pod out of an Air Transport just as it clears over an enemy point. Of course a really good transport pilot can easily come in low and drop a squad off that way for a stealthy approach. 17.Quote: Fun BF2 Fact: Be a heavily Armed Sniper!-------Spawn as Assault or Support, kill a sniper, take his kit.
