Hmmmm. An old saying is "All's fair in love and war". But I don't think I like that saying anymore. What I would say is that although a WAR game, as a game it is like a sport, where good sportsmanship would be "the better part of valor". Soooo ... if you have insufficient flank defense, etc, and get "sacked", regroup and try to do better knowing their tactics. Regardless of how many reins you have left, since they will quickly vanish if you have only one flag anyway.
