Correction, NOT !! Was great earlier but last hr has got me kicked repeatedly saying admin kicked me for team kills or something. :peace:

I had been getting bad lag in it. Had no lag in other servers. Comparison was same ping showing around 80-100 in TAC and others. But even with TAC empty I had bad lag, yet i could go in other server with same ping showing and 40 players and no lag. I tried lots of things like overclocking, minimizing settings, etc. Not much diff from all that. I was thinking it was maybe the route of my "Shaw Cable" internet plus my borderline minimal system for it, meaning I was routing more to TAC maybe then to others. I even tried with antivirus and firewall software off. No diff, fps was same, just loaded and got in game faster. Yesterday I read the links from our forums to Punkbuster site. It said firewall users may not get automatic PB updates, to check BF2\PB folder for certain files, that if not there, you're not updated. I saw they were not there. So I followed PB site instructions to download 116kb "pbweb.exe" into the BF2\PB folder, run it in there. When I did, firerwall popup asked me about it, i said yes, always. It connected to net and showed installing missing files and updating old files. I played tonight at TAC with about 40 players for hr or 2, 90-100 ping showing, NO LAG !! :-) Was fun finally ;-) Even getting "owned". lol. So be sure and try this if you have lag there like I used to. :peace: Now I can slowly work on improving my crappy BF2 teamwork aspect I so miss from feeling able to do well in FA. The cost of BF2 ranked servers is too high. I suspect they set it high to see if they get it. Hopefully it will come down in time. Because not too many people will continue to except such overblown prices for long. Good reason maybe to try and have big clan of supporters to reduce the cost to all.

That is terrible. I see no humor possible no matter how I look at it. That person should work for the Animal Society for awhile, helping animals, to somehow make up for that sorry mistake. To alteast get it off his conscience, if he has one. :peace: But I understand you're just sharing what you heard. On a positive note, maybe someone young and unknowing reading this will be more careful what he puts in those dangerous microwaves.

Same as mine and TigerHawk. You might wanna try 800 res like we do. Also lower refresh rate to 60, since we are lucky to get 20 fps in bf2, no point in trying to push monitor higher. Be advised, our settings for everything are off/lowest, but if i move view distance slider in bf2 options to full, screen will sometimes go mostly black, even though game still working and movement possible. Seems max safe view distance is in the middle. For comparison, we have the Nividia FX5200 128 mb, 512 mb sys ram, 1.5mhz cpus.

Tanks. :peace: I had the demo of it yrs ago from a PCGAMER mag cd. I liked it but went the Red Alert route instead.

Be warned. I know from experience. Having more then a reasonable few drinks, especially at your age, will lead to dependance on it to think it's needed to have a fun time. It quickly becomes addictive and it controls you instead of you controlling it and yourself. Enjoy some, yes. In the long run you will be much better off if you avoid heavy drinking. It interferes with social skills development. You won't believe it at the time because of it's effect on your thinking. Later on you will realize and regret it. You'll have more reason to "hold your head high" by controlling "it". Good luck. :peace:

Upon reading them I noticed some files were missing from my bf2\pb folder that it should have if it was autoupdated by itself. Maybe my firewall prevented it. I've not had probs playing but had lag in some servers that i didn't think i should have according to ping showing and number of players. so i downloaded the manual update exe into pb folder and ran it there, firewall popup asked for permission to allow which i said yes/always and watched it download, add and update some files. now i see the files that are supposed to be in there. i guess i should test it soon. maybe, but i've had more serious issues on my mind.

Interesting. I thought TigerHawk checked my PB updates. But upon clicking those links and looking for those files it says should be in in the PB folder if it's updated, I don't see them. So I saved that exe into the pb folder and ran it. Now I see the db and htm files mentioned. :peace:

Most enjoying I think to me was after i got the M79 aim good from window across bridge to other window. Especially facing helicopter side seeing them come thru that 1-way door and rush up ladder only to meet my well timed 79 in the face, lol.
