LOL, I got laughs from that relating to past frustrations. But I ab***** behavour like that. It's something i think some younger influencial minds need not see and have contributed to subconcious reactions ... BUTT FUNNY TO LAUGH WITH and AT because most of us know this is wrong attitude to have with life's many frustrations but as humans many of us lose it sometimes. Point I guess I'm making is do your best not to "give into the dark side" and these instinctive reactions to frustrations. You can't stop feeling it BUTT YOU CAN Be proud of not giving into it :peace: The more you feel these angry feelings with people or things yet resist the feeling of acting out angrily, the more you win and should feel prouder. ;-)

Partially agreed. I sometimes have fun trying to sneek onto their carrier as spec ops, take out their commander's uav and scan toys, then hide and ask my commander for supplies so i can do it again if they repair. But "discression is the better part of valor" regarding base owning. So much to consider. If teams badly unbalanced but still rein tickets then I personally would try to not make their unfair GAMEplay more unfair. Not easy answer due to many variables. Kind of a personal or server game rules choice i guess as to what you think is ok. If teams even, i feel it's up to each side to ensure proper defense or not, of bases.

hmmm ... i know you know a lot more then many of us including me ... this seems to go against my understanding of what one tries to push out of their video card ... I've got the impression from yrs of asking/reading/testing, that setting higher monitor refresh rate is telling video card to send more fps to monitor ... which if pushing system to limits for a game would mean less fps for game performance. ???? I've always had vsync off. I'll try setting monitor refresh rate from 60 to 72 or 75 in desktop\video properties settings, since you seem to be saying it will give me more fps in bf2, which my hunch tells me will actually be worse. Or do i misunderstand and you mean choose higher refresh setting only in bf2 video options ?

Sorry to hear that. I think auto kick for tk's requires 2 or 3 tk's. Next time maybe turn the other cheek and let him do it again. You should get option popup to punish him and bam he's out.

lol. many are great. but for me to pick a favorite, as i said, would have the most "varied" style of vocals and music, longest lasting, recieved many awards and been in movie soundtracks which reflects their effect on the "medius" :peace: ha has great soft and great loud stuff. not easy choice, but if you'd seen him like i, doing that dual huge drum set duo in every beat harmony with the other drummer, you'd understand me better. plus he writes instrumental, vocal, directs, etc ... many different styles ... true master diserving of many awards given.

TANKS !! That helped speed up the loading and getting into server. By maybe 1/2 minute less, as well as antivirus off. i already had determined no antivirus speeded this up, with no diff to in game fps though. freeing up that ram gets me in faster. made no diff to in-game fps that i've noticed. but it is ok around 10-20 as long as ping stays ok near 100 or better. :peace: i still think contrary to what some have said, that pushing video card more for 75 fps refresh rate instead of minimum 60, will mean less in-game fps as i think but they think i not lose fps with 75. ???

I had about 2 hrs mostly lag free. recently, after taking 5 min break, came back and noticed favorite server list showing tac ping above usual 90 i see, at 160. so i closed bf2 and ran quick ping check. here is the bottleneck of the time it found. appears to be not my shaw but the intermediate planet.com hub 70.84.160.166 .

I found easy way to make "TAC BF2 ping.bat" file on desktop for simple double clicking to run ping test of their server so you know if any point starting bf2 to try it. Create new txt file on desktop, name it whatever with .bat extension. Edit it, enter this : cmd /k tracert 70.86.73.59 and save it. Now clicking it gives instant connect test results. :peace:

so if i understand, using 60 refresh vsync off will get me the most possible in game fps for minimal system ? but upping refresh to 75 may be easier on eyes but mean less in game fps ?

unfortunately i had to drive bus by there that night, with all yous out on the road. too bad i missed you and the seniority move up for me on job. my fave rock singer ? hmmmm ... that's not easy ... have to consider who i think i enjoyed (i don't listen anymore except to radio on bus to keep me awake) and made the biggest contribution to music creativity and variety ... basically who i thought like a good actor conveyed much variety, lasted long, made good example for others to follow ... ruling out great instrument accompaniment that is a lot of it ... got it down to ... John Lennon, Paul Mc Cartney, Elton John, John Anderson, Phil Collins ... I go with Phil Collins.

May be interesting and useful to see what y'all get. Using start button, run box, enter cmd, then type and enter in that window, tracert 70.86.73.59 . This is TAC BF2 server ip. You could use this to test other server ip as well. These will vary at different times, days, weeks, months, yrs, etc. :peace: Here's mine as of the moment. What do the 3 different numbers mean for each net hub ? Are these good, okay, poor, or what ? Looks like shaw part is good. It looses going from Shaw to U.S. hubs then planet hubs ?

TigerHawk apparently checked bf2cc after i gave up angrily and went away. She says the chat history showed message saying sorry hogan you're being kicked for high ping. I was already kicked but she still saw it showing me in there with 514 ping instead of usual 100. So somewhere in the 12 hubs that running cmd then tracert 70.86.73.59 shows me now, must have effectedd me at that time. Had i know this command then I might have tried it to see get proof of where the bottleneck occurred.

Hadn't tried that yet. Rename all bik files, including the menu bik files?

I'm concerned that if you had it working well until the full 1.03 patch, that whether that patch file was no good or or just failed to setup properly, no further patch attempts will help unless bf2 fully uninstalled, rebooted, remaining folders of it deleted, registry cleaner used, reboot, defrag, reinstall bf2, reboot, try patch from different site, reboot, setup options and see.
