  1. YIS, I mean yes, to you and everyone.
  2. Well, I have to work and live by our city bus times. Even though I've pointed out in past they were out from Shaw Cable TV time. They said most bus users can't afford cable tv. j/k
  3. Pretty. I once got nice effects with video camera with other lights off and slowing shutter speed plus opening iris. I got the rays of light emitting out from each little light effect. Really cool. Works well with sunlight relfections on water too. Or was it faster shutter which darkens but more iris which brightens ? Been long time, DOH ;-)
  4. Here's a song that sort of is how I feel about "The Santa Clause". What is Santa Claus? Kudos to Tigerhawk for helping me with the technicalities of this thought of mine. Posts and links here, especially mention of religious or not beliefs in any audio or picture links do not reflect beliefs of clan or server. Any mention, like in "12 Days of Christmas" humor song, is meant to be laughed at, so should not be confused with trying to be cool or funny as you will not be respected or laughed with but laughed AT for say, drinking (atleast too much) or smoking which are unwise. ;-)
  5. ROFL Cool, eh ? My kind of Christmas song.
  6. TigerHawk has something like that.
  7. sorry about necropost, but i didn't start it and besides, in the interest of helping others know their options with BF2, I think helpful info is okay. Since thread brought back up i see now i gave less detail then i could have so here it is : a p4-1.5mhz, 512 mb ram, 128 mb vid card will run BFV in win98se or xp and BF2 will run not bad in xp for us. but experiment with video card and sound card drivers. mostly video drivers as sometimes the newest drivers no work or are worse for a substandard system since newer drivers are designed for more up to date pc specs. so if probs, uninstall those and install next older, or next older before that, and so on. as this may find older driver that works best with your older pc. :peace:
  8. Haven't played it much yet. Checked it out for hr or 2 some time ago. TigerHawk also. I like it more then BF2 mostly because the assault gun with grenae launcher can now shoot rapid fire without constantly pushing trigger. Plus the darker maps I find add more "suspense". :peace:
  9. That's so "friendly" ;-). j/k :peace:
  10. Thanks for much info Klink. :peace:
  11. Too have fun ?
  12. other, for me = being able to give something that will be appreciated. also, the sometimes surprises in various forms, from someone that helps reduce my "Scrooge" feeling about it. Thanks to Kol Klink, TigerHawk and Cpl Medicus, they know what I refer to. Also thanks to my 3 sons and their Mom who told me they understand I can't afford anything, but they just want to see me in good moods. :peace: Also thanks to members here that try to say something nice or atleast say nothing. Like what I've tried to teach my sons ; "If you can't say something nice, say nothing at all". ;-) It's what makes this a "community" of PEOPLE, not just a "firing range". ;-)

me and tiger used to be able to hear and be heard. recently we hear but using usual key to talk is not working. she says she noticed the green icon thing when she pushed the talk key but it went red and added a crack symbol. anyone know what this means and what to do ?
  17. "Roger that.""Gee thanks."
  18. She's "layed off" from booze. I'm "still employed". :o :o
  19. keep your heads up. since this movie thread, she has been flying around with Gator and telling me when i got home how fun it was and how he's teaching her how to "own" you all with that helo machine gun.

  23. In case it is helpful to anyone else, here's what happened for me and TigerHawk in time order : Our 2 pcs run it okay but sometimes not great depending on ping of various internet hubs going thru to server. 2 pcs are similar with p4-1.5mhz cpu-512mb ram-128mb nvidia 5200. keep in mind that having or paying for higher speed internet provider may not help if the huns you go thru to a game server have high pings. you can see this with the following in your "start button on screen"-"run box", type in , substituting the ip of the game server you are interested in : cmd /k tracert 70.86.73.59 I got email from EA saying because of my coming birthday I could use the given code number to save $15 U.S. on any game purchase. I clicked the ea store link in email and saw spec ops at $30, meaning $15 for me. Found no way to use the code for paid download. Only found it for ordering shipment of cds to address. So paid anyway for download using already registerd/log in acct created from BF2 registration, which TigerHawk and I did for both BF2 cd packs for 2 pcs here. Download to pc1 took about 8hrs total overnight that night. It was interrupted before done with "error:#####". Just pause or logout and relog back in and continue download. if you want to continue it later only click pause button, not cancel which dumps what you got i think. we had about 3gbs free before download. around 1.5 after done. install worked but ... Install got a different error number part way thru. Again, log out and log back with small EA downloader first installed before download start. Reclick install button on window it gives you and it takes over where it left off. single player worked fine. multiplayer attempt said patch needed. Download or run BF2 1.12 patch if you still have it. before patch free hd space was 1.5 gb. patch about 300kb i think ? but it will tell you must have 3 gb free hard drive space. oops. freed it up. then patch finished. Working ok in pc1 off and online for TigerHawk or my game name accounts. Need BF2 cd in. Logged in with pc2 and logged in to same EA account as pc1 which allows unlimited redownloads of paid for spec ops addon. Pc2 download only took 3 hrs. During pc2 install, new error popup said "MD5Error: c:\program files\Eagames\Battlefield 2\mods\xpack\Objects_client.zip Retry or Cancel ?". Tried retry few times. Same error. did 1.12 patch anyway. single player worked fine. mutliplayer after choosing server, load bar done, clicked join, popup said i could not use modified bf2, so i didn't get in. tried few servers, all same. transferred that 280kb zip file thru messenger from pc1 to pc2 in about 10 minutes. pc2 now plays online fine. BUT... we can't both play spec-ops multiplayer at same time as it gives message "non valid cd key", or something like that. i thought it might work as it never asks or mentions a key, going i guess with one in bf2 install. since both bf2's are different cd keys i figured it would still jive. o well, they good at this atleast ;-) one or the other works online but not both. "Fare" i guess. lol. useable in either machine but not both.
